Vehicle Detail
So my lady friend (finally) decided to give up her pride and joy(she bought from new and loved it)! Why is this, you ask?? Well for starters, she's a single mom with a growing son. Growing sons and 2-door coupes do NOT mix well with football gear and energy trying to climb over a fold up seat! Time to go! Absolute sale! NO RESERVE! The exterior is quite amazing for it's age, mileage and well, location. This thing should be rusted out all over the place. It's not. Just the ONE spot and that's tiny, as shown in a pic below. The paint shines justlikenew2u!! Surprisingly very minimal rock chips are noticable, handfuls of teeny tiny dings make this car above the norm! The exterior is a quality 8+ out of 10. Shall I point out how nearly PERFECT the plastic headlight lenses are?? These are typically yellowed out and fogged up. Note the front bumper cover, aside a few touchups, nearly chip free!! ZERO damages or cracks or holes, especially down low. Front tires have about 2000 miles on them since the new struts and alignment were installed!! Rears are Michelins with plenty of tread left, but if you know that brand there is a little dryrot and road noise that come with them. Left rear mostly. Hubcaps look great! Steelies underneath are of the 14 inch variety which help keep the money in your bank account when it comes time to buy new skins. Note the factory issued Honda pinstriping and paint saving mudflaps. Hood and roof look great! I'm pointing this out, and you probably didn't notice, but since I know the ENTIRE history on this car, the driver's door has been repainted. There was an 'incident' at a local carwash that left it damaged. The doorlock tumbler (stopped working) and slow moving power window haven't been the same since. The car has NOT been in and accident or had any major bodywork since. It matches well but I wanted to disclose. Bumper cover and trunklid look great as well! Nothing wrong with a few properly matching touchups, it IS her baby afterall! Note the tread on the noisy Michelins. Ready for the winter!! Above and below are the most noticable ding and dent on the entire car. These are the ONLY ones my camera would pick up. Yes there are other teeny tiny dings, so tiny that you would need to be on your hands and knees to find em...but why??? Did I mention, NO RESERVE?? I can't get over how great this car looks for it's mileage and age. You will agree!! Interior looks great! She is a non-smoker. I hate smoke and can't see or smell any signs of it. Cloth, altho a little fade, is nice and clean with no noticable cuts, tears or damages. Vinyl looks great. Dash is perfect. Steering wheel is barely worn along with the shifter. Carpet is clean with minimal heel wear on the driver's side. Unseen is the custom hoodlatch protection: read-use pliers to open because the handle face broke off. Above and below you can see ALL the dummy lights illuminate with only the dealer spec "maint req'd" staying on and the "check engine" light staying on. I originally cleared the code after the new spark plugs were installed by yours truly. But it came back on. It was ONE code- a "rich condition" code from my very basic reader. The car has a mild tiny exhaust manifold puff that is only audible when cold. Once warm, it's gone but I feel the leak causes the O2 sensor to run lean, hence setting the rich code (after a few days) to try and correct it. NO RESERVE, remember?? All the power items work as they should: Power locks, power windows (driver's side is slow), HOT heat, COLD AC once but now needs repair (see below), AM/FM/CD player plays burned CDs easily, cruise, etc! Below you can see a crack in the windshield. It's way low and NOT in line-of-sight. Dash is mint. Note no rust under the lip of the trunklid as most Hondas sport. Full compliment of floormats are included. Unseen is the complete factory spare setup intact, aired up ready for your roadtrip! Pick a spot and eat off it!! Super clean interior! Would you look at this!!! All the things a used car buyer dreams of!! Ok. Well not laying in bed dreaming but WISHES they had along with the hard earned money they just spent on a car!! COMPLETE papers, books, relevant receipts and more!! PROOF of care! BOTH factory issued keys! FACTORY window tag! Recent 2015 ILLINOIS Emissions PASS tag. I even had the financing sheets but they aren't included. Sorry. TMI. Bet you NEVER had TMI on a car you've looked at on the local lot!! History is sitting on the front seat!! Note the 32-38 MPG. I can vouch. It gets it all day. Nice and clean engine compartment. NEW struts. FRESH alignment. NEW front tires. STRONG battery. NEW spark plugs. While I changed the plugs, I pulled the valve cover to insect the timing belt as I too, was concerned., Contitech brand. My favorite!! PROOF that it was changed. From my personal Volvo experiences, this belt was properly changed about 40K ago or less (she didn't have a receipt) leaving you with about 40k until the next swap. OIL CHANGE and FILTER are NEW along with LUCAS oil stabilizer. I noticed the car used a bit of oil. Pretty typical Honda since the quickie oil change joints use the watery 5w-30(which the cap says to use). Lucas is an engine saver. Just be responsible and check your oil! Strong battery easily fires up the smooth running noise free engine. NO major oil or coolant leaks to be found. No spots on my shop floor overnight. Clutch feels great. No slipping or chattering. Transmission shifts thru every gear smoothly. Issue: The Air conditioning. It worked great. No leaks. Ice cold. Then after a week or two of noises, it locked up. The pump needs replacing, maybe just the clutch. She needed to get to work. Since the Honda was offered without AC, I bypassed the pump. The car has BOTH NEW belts and the AC will need to be serviced when you are ready to repair. Being a cloth interior, its your choice. Not so bad when it's hot outside. Otherwise...NO RESERVE!! Clean clear title in hand. Inspect my excellent feedbacks. BID, BUY, and DRIVE this car ANYWHERE with 100% CONFIDENCE!! GOOD LUCK!! PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE AD AND IT'S CONTENTS! THIS IS A PRIVATE OWNER SALE WHICH I AM SIMPLY THE MARKETER! THANKS FOR YOUR INTEREST AND BIDS! NO EXTRA FEES OR TAXES INVOLVED.
