1953 (54?) Chevy Bel Air Project - LOW RESERVE!!!NOTE: We reserve the right to end this auction at any time as this car is listed locally as well. Thank you.NO TITLE!!! (eBay does not have a category for "no title"). BIDDERS: Please read ALL info BEFORE bidding!!! Thank you. I am listing this 1953 Chevy Bel Air 2-Door project for a lady in our church whose husband passed away recently after a bout with cancer. This was his project, and the lady needs to sell it. Here’s what I know about it. · - No motor/trans: What is in the pictures is what you get. · - SOLID OUTER BODY (6-7 out of 10) As far as solid, I give it about a 6-7 out of 10. The body panels seem to be really straight for that year model. There is some surface rust. · - RUST ASSESSMENT: Keep in mind that I am not a restorer. The floor pans are rusted out. The man bought new floor pans. The lower rockers have some rust. Again, he bought replacement outers for the project (see pics). There’s some rust underneath the vehicle. · - NO TITLE: As far as we know there is no title attached to the vehicle project. · - LOTS of chrome parts. The man spent about $1300 on chrome parts, both used and new for the project. Look at the pics. Again, what you see is what you get. · - GLASS: Looks like the glass that is there is decent, except for a front window part that is in one of the pics. · - OTHER COMMENTS: The steering column does not work correctly. The wheels/axles ARE NOT locked. The vehicle rools on all four tires (or did at the time I picked it up, which was about 2 weeks prior to this posting). NNOTE: I spent a number of hours with the man who passed away. He NEVER referred to this as a 1954, however, I just had someone tell me the tail lights in the pics are 1954. Maybe he was going to put those on the 53. I'm not sure. Anyway, what you see is what you get, lol!!! ALL BIDDERS MUST FOLLOW THESE RULES… 1. -- AS-IS: This is an AS-IS auction. You bid, you buy. The lady needs the money. Anything I get will go to her except for the auction posting costs. 2. -- IF YOU HAVE LESS THAN 10 overall bid history, or are under 90% positive in rating you MUST, I repeat, MUST contact me before bidding, or I WILL remove your bid. No exceptions. 3. -- I am a 100% positive, VERY HONEST, eBayer. You can bid with confidence. 4. -- Winning bidder must pay within 72 hours of winning auction. 5. -- I cannot deliver. Winning bidder MUST ARRANGE PICK UP OF UNIT. Thanks for looking…and HAPPY BIDDING!
