I bought this Fiat when it was for sale on eBay in August of this year. I talked to the 2nd owner of 17 years and he convinced me that it was in excellent condition, well maintained and in good running order. I received the car September 13th and found problems right away. I immediately realized that the seller had competely misrepresented this car. I will not do that. The body had problems, windows, instruments, lights and it was not running well. I tried to drive it to my mechanic 12 miles away but could only get halfway there and had to have it towed the rest of the way. It had a burnt valve, carburetor problems, brakes needed to be cleaned because the seals were gone, plus electrical problems. I also had to replace the speedo cable. There were signs of poor maintenance everywhere. After spending $12,500 for the car $500 for shipping plus registration, mechanical work and a new windshield (not installed) I have spent $17,500 total and it is still not finished but I am finished. I am out of money and have to sell. I bought this car because it is a European model. Factory installed dual Weber 2 Venturi carburetors plus Cromodora magnesium wheels with very nice stainless steel hubcaps, good Pirelli P6 tires (I rebalanced the two front). Pluses:Wheels and tires, 2 carb setup, bumpers are very nice, new windshield (not installed), brakes good, transmission good, cooling system good, dash pad very nice, seats good. Minuses:Mainly electrical, blows fuses for some lights and instruments, dings in some panels, some small rust bubbles almost all on the rear panel, front vent windows do not work properly.I am sure the mileage is much higher. The wheels and tires are worth $2000. The carburetor setup with manifold is also worth $2000. New windshield $700 (included with car).
