Vehicle Detail

The car was semi restored in the mid 90's with new paint and still looks really good with nice deep shine and awesome original factory paint code color. It has the original 350 motor with 71k miles. The car spent most of it's life in storage and was owned by one family until sold to the person I bought the car from about four years ago. The car has great lines and maintains the original interior except for the dash pad. Head liner is in great condition and the only significant interior defects is some slight tarring on the driver's seat (pic included) and wear on the original carpet. The engine compartment is very clean with a 350 with 2bbl, 3 speed trans, has power steering and heavy duty manual brakes which feel like power, stops with little effort. The car runs and drives great and I only used it to take it on some cruses and car shows. The car is always garaged with cover and ran two weeks if not driven. The has new Cragar SS rims and Cooper Cobra tires, new exhaust with a single Flow Master to dual pipes and produces a nice rumble tone. The undercarriage is clean and was undercoated from the factory. Doors line up and open and close perfectly. The 350 has plenty of power and plants you in your seat. Gets a lot of attention at shows and I get asked all the time if I want to sell it. Car starts as any car of this vintage i.e., a little pumping of the pedal. If the car sits for more than a few weeks sometimes a few shots of starting fluid is needed to get it going then your good. Full disclosure, paint has a few chips and there is some bubbles on both doors at the bottom end near the qtr panels and on rear driver's side quarter that runs along the bottom trunk side not on the door facing side. I provided pictures off the all bubbles. Considering that the car exterior was restored in the mid 90's you should not expect more to show up in any other area of the car. I had the car for four years and nothing has really changed. The passenger window could be replaced has some scratches in one spot, $109 from Classic Industries, I just left it not too bad. The passenger rocker panel got damaged and I replaced it with one from a friend of mine and it has some holes so it could be replaced if you want. The passenger fender could use some tweaking as far as the alignment on the top near windshield, you see it the slight gap in some of the pictures. Although the exhaust is new it does rattle from time to time, the pipes are little to wide and sit between the leaf springs and the qtr panel. Every once in awhile I have the system aligned to help with noise. The door locks do not unlock with the current keys but I will include a new lock set with the sale of the car including the ignition, easy replacement. The horn does not work and needs a new contact spring when I pulled the steering wheel to replace an aftermarket one with an original and I saw the contact was missing, all other gauges work and the windshield spray pump is not connected. There is very slight oil drip only after the car has been running, I wouldn't be honest if I did not admit that, all these circa cars leaked. There is a small spot of rust between the outer end of the flat side of dash and dash pad on the inside in the corner on driver's side basically below where you would have the registration sticker on the windshield. I could not get a picture of it due to the reflection off the windshield, you have look straight down to see it from the outside of the car, you can't see it from the inside. I had body shop quote me a few hundred to fix it. The original AM radio does work but it is not connected to any speakers. The rear bumper is new, the other chrome around the car is original and is in fairly good condition and the exterior weather stripping has some dry cracks here and there. The aftermarket tachometer was working, when I removed an older under the dash cassette deck it stopped. I did not touch the wires but somehow it might have been connected/co-mingled with the cassette deck wires. I am big guy and I can't get under the dash to see but I am confident if you know what you're doing it's a quick fix, I did not cut anything. I will also include new antenna, new brake master cylinder, and touch up paint with the sale. I have provided a lot pictures, some at shows. Note on the pictures with bubbles on the doors, there is cloudy affect in a few spots from the flash refection. No issue selling internationally since shipping is paid by the buyer. Terms: $250 Paypal deposit due within one hour at the end of auction. Deposit is not refundable. Payment is due within three days of auction end via bank check, wire or if some other arrangement has been agreed to. Again, the car is original and I have not done anything to it really since I bought it. I am very confident that you will be very happy with this car as I am and their values are going up each year as they are getting harder to find especially in this condition, with the original low miles, and mechanics. I really enjoyed owning this car and will miss it. The reason for selling: I just started a new business and need to raise some cash, otherwise I would really not be selling it. Car is sold as is and does not have title, Connecticut is non-title state for vehicles over 25 years old. Good luck. On Nov-08-14 at 12:59:02 PST, seller added the following information: Been getting some ?'s, chrome around rear window, windshield, and rear bumper are newer and the rest of chrome is original and as I described above. I also wiped down the inside trunk after removing what I had in it so it was still a bit wet when I snapped the picture.
