Originally purchased as a parts car, I found the car to be in very good mechanical condition, just in need of a makeover: so new upholstery, door panel liners, convertible top and carpets.the body was in good shape. It is a california car, but there was a little rust, all of which was cut out and new metal welded back in. the only dent was on one headlight surround. and the front of the hood. Straightened with minimal plastic filler.New paint with base coat/ clear coat.Also added a dash cap to cover the old cracked one.Now it looks as good as it runs.Mechanically I redid the brakes completely, with new pads, flexible hoses and rebuilt calipers.Passes california smog testing easily. gets approx 28 mpg on highway when using the overdrive 5th gear.A great car. Called the poor man's ferrari since it was designed by Pinna-farina.A brief note on the mileage. I have owned this car for at least 10 years. It has been driven less than 500 miles during that time. the odometer on this vehicle does not go above 5 digits, so is the mileage 110700 or 210700 or 310700. I just don't know. The cylinder compression test was good on all cylinders and had very close readings between all cylinders. It doesn't seem to burn oil nor leak coolant. if you have any more technical questions I will do my best to answer them
