Vehicle Detail
Here is your chance to own the ultimate sleeper car. 1992 Volvo 740 wagon, California car with no rust, 200k miles on the body. Engine and transmission from a 1999 Chevy Camaro. LS1 and t56 trans have 100k miles. Engine swap was done 10,000 miles ago, at that time new LS7 clutch and flywheel, LS6 intake manifold, SLP MAF, Pro 5.0 shifter, LS truck oil pan, C6 corvette exhaust manifolds to a 3" exhaust that has a nice rumble. Yoshifab rear subframe reinforcement, G80 diff, and custom length drive shaft. This is a very clean car with a very clean swap done. This is still a 22 year old car, all the major things work, but there are a few things that don't.Aftermarket radio asks for a security code which I do not know, either contact Kenwood or just replace it.The rear wiper does not work, I was told it could be a fuse or resistor.Passenger panel below the glove box is missing.Automatic door lock system needs to be adjusted, right now all locks work manually.Sunroof motor or switch was inoperable, this has been swapped out with a manual crank that will always work!Heated seat fuse replaced, but passenger switch does not get power.Clock in cluster does not work, probable needs a battery. I bought this car off eBay a few weeks ago and I asked the builder, Yoshifab, why he sold it to the previous owner. He told me that he only built it as a project to sell LS1 motor mounts and that he just wasn't a V8 guy. After owning the car for a few weeks I've also realized that I'm not a v8 guy. This car reminds me of a e39 M5 I used to drive and I'm looking for something smaller and more rev happy (like a GTI). This car is a blast to drive, but where I live I find myself stuck in traffic and not being able to really enjoy it. Don't miss this opportunity to own a car that can haul anything and still smoke mustangs at stoplights. These pictures where taken by me.
These pictures were taken by Yoshifab, original builder, when he sold it to the previous owner.
On Nov-04-14 at 16:42:48 PST, seller added the following information: I've had some good questions: How much is your insurance? The insurance on this thing is insanely cheap. I have USAA and its $27 a month for this vehicle. How is the gas mileage? I have not calculated the gas mileage, but if you do your research on LS1/t56 cars you will see they get great highway mileage, like 25mpg. Is this a true LS1? Yes this is a true aluminum block LS1 from a Camaro. You will see a lot of guys piecing together swaps with junk yard truck blocks and heads, but this is not the case here. How loud is the exhaust? Personally for a daily driver I think it is too loud. If my reserve is not met I will definitely be putting on a quite muffler.
