1980 Jeep CJ7 - 4 Cylinder "Iron Duke" 151 CI - SR4 - 4 Speed Transmission, Dana 300 transfer case, Dana 30 Front axle and AMC 20 Rear. Let me start by saying the engine runs strong, clean and idles perfectly. It has a brand new Holley carb. All the way through each gear including 4X4 high and low range runs smoothly, tight gearing and no noises. Clutch operates smoothly, no noises, great grabbing and newer throw-out bearing. Engine compartment is clean. The exhaust system has a catalytic converter and is in great shape from front to back.This Jeep rolls on four brand new Michelin Tires mounted on American Racing Aluminum Wheels all with a secure locking Lug on each wheel. The spare is a matched wheel with a tire cover. The interior is really great considering it is over 30 years old. Front seats have no cuts or tears and are soft, as the back seat is just as good with few slight cracks where seating stress is, very minimal. Drivers side seat moves back and forth, passenger seat flips forward. rear seat is not a fold & tumble for that year. The seats all have Lap Style Belts all in working condition, and retractable.Black OEM carpeting still has good pile and is pretty clean, un-torn and unmolested. OEM black console, sits mounted in original position using original mounting holes. A New Air Horn button is installed in the front of the console. The dash is very clean. A new dash pad was installed, as was all new indicator lamps and billet aluminum control knobs. Heat works great. The only gauge that is not registering is the fuel gauge, I checked the wiring under the dash, it may be the sending unit or a wire in the rear. Two new speakers were just installed on the dash. A new glove box was also installed. The Windshield has a small crack by the inspection sticker, other than that it folds down like it should with no stress on the hinges. It has a soft top as shown, and a bikini top is included. The soft top is in good condition, passenger side had a seam come apart but it was mended easily with strong tape. The Jeep drives great, you won't have to fight the steering wheel because it is tight. Great brakes, fronts and rear. Emergency Brake works too. This Jeep CJ has power steering and it steers great. The front end is tight. New steering box installed this month.Included with this Jeep is the following: Hard doors, Rear Back-Pack Storage compartment with two 6X9 Kenwood speakers, a Bike rack that mounts to the spare that Locks, Rear hitch with 2" ball, service manual, The "Club" to lock the steering wheel, Locking hood all locking gas cap, two 10k lb tow hooks mounted on the front bumper, Chrome Front bumper, Chrome OEM Bumperettes in rear, OEM CJ7 Badge, Rear tire cover, Chrome Grill overlay, Wrangler Running boards and door mirrors.Finally, the rust. yes, there is some rust in the rocker panels and floor boards, but not horrific, a bit of blistering paint here and there. folks, this has been a reliable daily driver for me. awesome in the snow, but pure fun in the summer with roof and doors off.
