Vehicle Detail
1973 Plymouth Duster 340 GSS "Paxton Packin Plymouth" Incredible Mr. Norm's Paxton Supercharged Duster with only 38,000 well-documented miles. Factory Number's Matching 340-4 Barrel, Number's Matching A833 Heavy Duty 4-Speed matched to its factory Hurst shifter. The exterior is beautiful with all original body panels showing no evidence of body damage, and the cars original vinyl top is in great shape too. The car has had one beautiful repaint in its factory and desirable color, GB5 Bright Blue Metallic. The interior is also in excellent condition and has Stewart Warner Gauges, a Sun Tach, optional "Tuff" steering wheel, and an AM/FM 8-Track! The seats are the correct black vinyl bucket seats that have no tears or unusual wear, and the dash and trim show excellent. Even the door buzzer, seat belt buzzers, and reverse light under the dash work! Under the hood you are introduced to the Paxton Supercharged 340. Estimated at 350HP, this car is extremely quick and runs exactly as it should! The trunk looks new with its original jack & spare that are in place and compliment it nicely. This Duster is extremely special, and could possibly be one of the last 73 Duster's to roll off the assembly line being built in August of 73. The original Trim Tag is still in place and confirms this car to be factory ordered as an extremely rare, V68 & V88 stripe delete car. It truly doesn't get any better then a factory number's matching 4-Speed 340 car dressed in its factory and desirable B5 Blue paint with a black vinyl top, and original documented Mr. Norm's GSS Paxton Supercharger! Documentation includes the original Paxton warranty card showing Mr. Norm's as the selling dealer, Original Mr. Norm's service tag, Original Broadcast Sheet, Original Owner's Manual, Sales Literature, and a feature magazine article in Mopar Muscle Magazine from 1991 showing the car only having 37,000 miles! This car is a very well documented, rare, investment quality Mopar that has been owned by a collector most of its life, and is available for the first time in over 30 years! If you’re looking for an outstanding driving, extremely cared for & documented, one of a kind Mopar, this is the car for you!Mopar Muscle Magazine did a feature article on this "Paxton Packin Plymouth" back in 1991. When the article was written, the car only had 37,000 miles. The car looks almost exactly as it did from the photo taken in 1991, and has been driven very little since then! It even has the same tire's on it that are in the photo, and they are in like new condition! The gentleman who owned the car when the article was written kept the car for over 30 years, exceptionally caring for it and using it for car shows and "cruising duty". He was a member of Mopar Muscle Club International, and in the binder full of paperwork their is a membership acceptance letter from the early 80's upon other receipts and documentation. This Duster runs and drives like a true, 38,000 mile Mopar. The steering is tight, the transmission shifts perfectly and the clutch feels great. There are no unusual squeaks or rattles inside, and the motor sounds excellent! The supercharger is in working order, and make's this Duster a true sleeper. The lights work throughout the entire car, the AM/FM 8-Track radio is fully functional, and all the gauges work as they should. The glass is in great condition around the car without any cracks or noticeable defects. All the chrome, trim, and rubber items are in great shape, and show well with the rest of the car. The undercarriage was undercoated when it was new, and is in great condition like everything else. This could be one of the lowest mile, most original, survivor 340 4-Speed Duster's left in existence! Let alone being a beautiful, documented, genuine Mr. Norms GSS Paxton Supercharged Duster 340! We have fully serviced this car, and gave it a 46 point safety inspection to ensure that it is ready to go anywhere. It is an absolute pleasure to drive, and gets compliments everywhere it is taken. When you fire up the engine and drive down the road, the deep throaty tone of the 340 and the wild whistle of the Mr. Norms Supercharger make's the experience behind the wheel superb! Be the envy of any car show, cruise in, or stop light with this beautiful & desirable 73 Duster GSS!We have tried our best to get detailed pictures of all the items throughout the car, and have described it to the best of our abilities.
