The 63 Buick Riviera was GM’s response to the popular Ford Thunderbird. Instantly recognized as a design classic, the original Riviera was Motor Trend magazine's 1963 Car of the Year. The sleek 117-inch wheelbase personal luxury coupe was a pet project of GM styling head William L. Mitchell Along with the Corvette split-window coupe; I think everyone on earth could agree that this was the best-looking car of 1963. The beauty of Bill Mitchell's Riviera design has withstood the test of time and still looks like a work of art. Buick's legendary 401 cubic inch Nailhead V8 made 325 horsepower in the '63 Riviera, and with seemingly endless reserves of torque, it is a lot quicker than you'd think. The Riviera's interior was a styling tour-de-force, with bucket seats and a sweeping, low-profile dash trimmed in brushed metal instead of fake wood. NO RESERVENO RUST This is a very solid Southern car, a real dream to drive, just feels like your floating on a cloud. Must sell lost storage space!!!! The floor pans and trunk are solid, all pinch welds are perfect.. New brakes, wheel cylinders, master cylinder, new tires, engine runs strong, new water pump, carb rebuilt, new exhaust, new seat covers, door panels were just completed in black, dash pad and package tray all new, all new weather-strip including doors, trunk, roof rails. All new belts and hoses. A/C converted to 134a needs charged (all there)!!!!Car was painted in 2012 good driver condition (was painted before my purchase). This car makes a great cruise night car. All glass is in very good condition, power windows work, courtesy lights, gauges, etc. This car gets a lot of attention driving and at shows. Correct mileage is believed to be 78,000.
