They are only original once. A STUNNING SURVIVOR! This is a low mileage 2 owner bike, with Massachusetts TITLE! The chrome is near flawless, all original, the motor has never been taken apart, the paint is all original including frame with original decals. The only non-original piece is a period correct oil cooler. The bike starts first kick, performs flawlessly as a near new bike should. Tires are new and are Dunlop K70's which is what would have been on it as it left the showroom, and with the condition of the bike, it does feel like new. The bike was originally purchase by a Vietnam vet upon arriving home in the mid-seventies. He drove it proudly for 4k miles when he was consumed by cancer and lost his life. It sat for a few years when my uncle bought it from his mother and neighbor and kept it as a time capsule running it for only another 700 miles over the next 30 years. it was his pride and joy. It was sold to me as he was no longer able to ride it. I am selling do to my son's tuition costs. The Bonneville was painstakingly kept original with nice original patina. The factory frame decals are still in place after 37 years. some light hazing on the white tank paint, light surface imperfections here and there, but purposely never toughed up or repainted to keep it as it always was and as it left the Meridian factory in 1977. Even the exhausts are original, perfect chrome and factory stamps! The bike needs nothing to drive cross country and if I had the inkling would leave tomorrow and trust the bike 100% to take me anywhere.
