Vehicle Detail

1972 FIAT SPIDER survivor car. Has been driven regularly for many years. Does not leak fluids. Starts, runs, drives good. Brakes are good. 5 sp. manual transmission. Lights all work. Seat belts, wipers, hi-lo beams, hazards, turn signals, park lights all work. Car is all stock. The paint is fair. I understand it is ADRIATIC BLUE, the original color for this car. There are a couple of runs. Finish is fair, with some light orange peel. Have clean title in hand. Soft top will need to be replaced. The rear window is broken. Body is solid. Not wrecked. Chrome is all original and all there. Original hubcaps. Tires are good. Gauges all work with the exception of the tachometer. No shipping available. Car is for sale locally, so I may end the auction at any time upon sale of vehicle. On Oct-17-14 at 16:08:39 PDT, seller added the following information: Mechanic's summary of recent inspection: Runs out well for a stock 72. Exhaust system is relatively new. Runs straight and brakes do not pull. Emergency brake may stick a little, probably from little recent use. Steering is tight and car handles well. Shocks are showing some wear. Floors and panels seem pretty rust free. No evidence of collision. Engine starts after 8 second crank when cold. When warm, starts right away, Starter is good. No smoke from exhaust. Typical rattles and noises, not from inside the engine, probably belt guard. No evidence of coolant leaks. Transmission operates within tolerances, although second gear sometimes "falls out" on deceleration. Clutch has adequate travel. Rear end sounds good. Electrically, car is in good shape. It has a switch for power to the coil, possibly because ignition switch is needing replacement. Tachometer does not work, but should work with proper wiring. Gas gauge is good. Oil pressure gauge works but registers low. Engine has 40 lbs. pressure when running warm. Alternator is charging. Temp. gauge is working, cooling fan operates as it should. Gas tank is in good shape, no leaks evident. Seat belts work properly.Tires are 50% plus. Some cracking evident on LF tire. Car rates 84% and is in fine mechanical condition. Safety items are present/operable and acceptable to pass most state inspections. On Oct-19-14 at 09:51:38 PDT, seller added the following information: LOW RESERVE. A FEW MORE BIDS AND RESERVE WILL BE MET.
