1978 Mustang II Cobra Restomod This 1978 Mustang II is a true factory Cobra that has just finished being totally customized.The car was completely dis assembled and sandblasted top and underneath. The door handles and trunk locks have been removed and both doors and trunk open from a key fob popper. The front and rear emblems and antenna have also been deleted, and the hood scoop has been made functional. The car was then painted House of Kolor base coat White including the underside. Red stripes were then added before 4 coats of House of Kolor clear was sprayed. The clear was then color sanded and buffed to a mirror like finish, All weatherstripping was also replaced. The Interior is also completely new. The front and rear seats have been re upholstered in marine grade vinyl with white stitching. The door panels have been re upholstered in the same marine grade vinyl with white piping. The carpet throughout and the headliner have been replaced as well. All interior trim panels were also removed and repainted red. The highly detailed engine compartment has a fresh rebuilt 302 HO roller motor with a X303 cam, polished Edelbrock RPM intake, Edelbrock 600 CFM carburetor, Cobra valve covers and Hedman headers. All of the engine accessories are new also (see list below). The stock 4 speed transmission was gone through, refreshed and painted. An aluminum drive shaft was installed as well. The front suspension was dis assembled and sand blasted and all bushings and the steering rack were replaced (see list below) before being painted. The front brakes have been updated to 5 lug with GM metric calipers with drilled rotors and braided steel lines. The rear received new leaf springs and bushings and a custom 5 lug 8.8 traction lock rear end with 3.73 gears, 31 spline axles and disc brakes with drilled rotors was painted and installed. The car has 17" 5 spoke wheels on all four corners with BFG Pro comp 2 tires, The work on the car was just completed and has less then 15 miles on ALL parts. This Mustang is a new car with that classic style and will turn heads EVERYWHERE and win at car shows. Everything works perfect to my knowledge except the stereo. The car starts right up, runs and drives amazing, and there is not a dent or scratch on it. Please see the video's below... Payment must be cash or certified check within 7 days of auction end.
