I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to read this entire description as well as our Terms & Conditions carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a very rare 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee Orvis Edition. I would rate the exterior of this Jeep to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. As you can see, this is a good looking vehicle. It is finished in classic Orvis dark metallic green with color accented wheels. Up close, you can see a few flaws in the exterior of this Jeep. There is a scrape along the right lower cladding as well as a few normal scratches and scuffs you'd expect to find on an older vehicle...nothing that really takes away from the overall looks of this Jeep unless you're up close looking for them. The body lines are straight and true. The hood, doors and tail gate all open and close easily. All of the glass and lenses are intact. The clearcoat on the wheels isn't that great, which is common. The tires show deep tread all around. Please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully. I would also rate the interior of this Grand Cherokee Orvis to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. The drivers door panel shows a little age, which is common. The others show well. The carpets also show well for their age. The leather seats are specific to the Orvis Package and look great. Both front seats are power operated and heated. The power windows, locks, mirrors and seats all work properly. The headliner is sagging a little in the back but is clean. The wood interior accents also show well. The original head unit has been upgraded with an aftermarket CD player which sounds good through the factory speakers. The climate control system is fully automatic and appears to be working properly. The one little knob is missing (as you can see) but the temperature is easily adjusted. The heater keeps the interior warm on cool days. The air conditioner blows ICE COLD AIR, too. The cargo area is spacoius and clean. Please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully to see how clean this Jeep is. Mechanically, this Jeep appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 5.2L V8 starts easily and runs smoothly. I did not see any leaks and the engine does not smoke. Her road manners are good for an older Jeep. The suspension feels tight and well sorted. The brakes and steering feel good, too. The engine keeps perfect temperature and excellent oil pressure. She makes plenty of power and feels strong. The automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly through all gears. The 4WD system is tested and working properly. Out on the highway, she drives nice and straight with absolutely no complaints. I've bought every Orvis Jeep I've ever seen come available in the last 4 years...and this is my third one. Suffice it to say, these don't come around all the time. Hello and thank you for looking at my auction. My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to read this entire description as well as our Terms & Conditions carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction.
Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a very rare 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee Orvis Edition. I would rate the exterior of this Jeep to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. As you can see, this is a good looking vehicle. It is finished in classic Orvis dark metallic green with color accented wheels. Up close, you can see a few flaws in the exterior of this Jeep. There is a scrape along the right lower cladding as well as a few normal scratches and scuffs you'd expect to find on an older vehicle...nothing that really takes away from the overall looks of this Jeep unless you're up close looking for them. The body lines are straight and true. The hood, doors and tail gate all open and close easily. All of the glass and lenses are intact. The clearcoat on the wheels isn't that great, which is common. The tires show deep tread all around. Please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully.
I would also rate the interior of this Grand Cherokee Orvis to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. The drivers door panel shows a little age, which is common. The others show well. The carpets also show well for their age. The leather seats are specific to the Orvis Package and look great. Both front seats are power operated and heated. The power windows, locks, mirrors and seats all work properly. The headliner is sagging a little in the back but is clean. The wood interior accents also show well. The original head unit has been upgraded with an aftermarket CD player which sounds good through the factory speakers. The climate control system is fully automatic and appears to be working properly. The one little knob is missing (as you can see) but the temperature is easily adjusted. The heater keeps the interior warm on cool days. The air conditioner blows ICE COLD AIR, too. The cargo area is spacoius and clean. Please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully to see how clean this Jeep is.
Mechanically, this Jeep appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 5.2L V8 starts easily and runs smoothly. I did not see any leaks and the engine does not smoke. Her road manners are good for an older Jeep. The suspension feels tight and well sorted. The brakes and steering feel good, too. The engine keeps perfect temperature and excellent oil pressure. She makes plenty of power and feels strong. The automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly through all gears. The 4WD system is tested and working properly. Out on the highway, she drives nice and straight with absolutely no complaints. I've bought every Orvis Jeep I've ever seen come available in the last 4 years...and this is my third one. Suffice it to say, these don't come around all the time. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.

Winning Bidders:
Winning bidders are required to contact us via eBay Message within 48 hours of auction close and make arrangements for payment and vehicle pick-up. Please do not leave a voicemail on the office phone.
Full payment is due within 7 day of the auction's end. The prefferred method is to bring cash in person to complete the sale. If you are unable to bring cash in person within seven days or will be having the vehicle shipped, we also accept Certified Checks, USPS Postal Money Orders, and wire transfer.
PayPal is not an accepted payment method. This includes Bill Me Later.
We cannot accept credit cards or personal checks.
Vehicles that are not picked up within 14 days of auction's end will be charged a $10/day storage fee, unless other arrangments are made.
Non-paying Bidders:
We take great pride in our work and are very serious about what we do. Likewise, we expect the people who bid on our auctions to be serious about honoring their bid. If you are the successful bidder for any of our auctions and do not pay for your vehicle within the specified time, an Unpiad Item case willbe opend with eBay. This can severely restirct yur ability to purchse from all eBay sellers. You will be charged a $249 re-listing fee. All unpaid fees will be handed over to a collection agency and pursued to the fullest extent of the law.
Fee and Tax Information: The only fee added by the seller is our $149 fee. This is used to isolate our fixed expenses such as eBay fees, transportation, processing, etc., and is not applied to any costs incurred by the purchaser.
The purchaser is responsible for any and all costs associated with transfer of ownership including, but not limited to: registration, sales tax, tags (including temp or in-transit tags), title transfer, inspection, and transportation expenses.
We are able to complete most tag, registration, and title work, as well as collect sales tax, for Pennsylvania residents.
For out-of-state buyer we can issue a 30-day temporary tag (aka In-Transit tag). The cost is $39 and the buyer must show a valid driver's license and current proof of insurance.
We offer a unique way of purchasing a vehicle. We sell vehicles to the public with No Reserve auction pricing. Most of the vehicles we sell are trade-ins at new car dealerships or high volume used dealerships in the area. We get a lot of interesting, unique vehicles and many that have minor flaws. We give every vehicle a thorough test drive and a visual inspection and describe what we see and feel to you in our descriptions. We try to provide as thorough and accurate a description as possible as well as including 40-60 photos. Understand however, that we are not professional mechanics and cannot predict the future.
There is additional risk in purchasing a vehicle this way versus buying a vehicle from a retail dealership that has been fully serviced and has a warranty. You will pay considerably less this way, but understand our vehicles are sold AS-IS and do not carry any sort of warranty.
