Vehicle Detail
Hello Ebayers: This 1999 Dodge Grand Caravan was our family van and mostly used on weekend trips to lake or baseball tournaments. The MiniVan has always been treated with care. About 2 years ago, I went through a divorce and was awarded the minivan in the split up. I didn't need a minivan (as a single dad) but emotionally couldn't let it go. The minivan has been parked for about a year and half and is LOCATED in POCONOS, PENNSYLVANIA ZIP CODE: 18355. The minivan starts right away and the engine is quiet (as always). This is an ALL WHEEL DRIVE minivan. Lots of power 3.8L engine. Excellent performance in SNOW. Since the van has sat for a while, it will NEED maintenance to get is back on the road. You should tow on a flatbed as this AWD vehicle should not be towed on 2 wheels. First, looks like some chipmunks were nesting in the engine compartment. I found a few acorns here and there. But the engine starts and runs.. so nothing major. The minivan needs a good car wash! But it does shine up nicely. Also, the Michelin tires will have to be looked at and checked as the car has sat outside for a length of time. They hold air but I wouldn't trust for a long journey. The brakes have to be checked as the brake light came on and I found the brake pedal pressure to be low. The brake were locking up so again due to sitting while. Never had a problem before with brakes, just a result of sitting for a while. The belts look and feel good but you should lubricate all pulleys. The valve cover gasket has a leak, nothing major but needs a new one. Heat and Air Conditioning works, AC could use a recharge. The tranny was starting to shift roughly from 1st to 2nd when I parked it but smooth as silk through the rest of the gears. Best to flush the tranny and change the filter and gasket as it had not been changed for some time. The interior is clean, you have sliding doors on both sides of the van. Power windows and power locks. Also the mini van has an installed hitch. Tinted glass, roof rack, am/fm cassette radio. The minivan is sold as/is where/is. Please feel free to contact me via Ebay email and I will respond as soon as possible. Nice minivan but will need work to get her back on the road. Thanks for looking!
