1967 MGB Roadster Vintage Race Car Presented for your consideration, the opportunity to acquire an immediately usable, fun vintage race car. Log books are not present though we are searching. Any assistance is appreciated. If you were attending auto races in the Southern California area 30 years ago, you likely saw this car on the track winning races in it’s class. Still adorned with winning dash plaques from races won in the 80’s, this original metal dash MGB race car was a well known track terror. This is the Charles Gillespie racing MGB car based out of San Diego California. The car is a time capsule. Freshly refurbished after 20 some years of indoor storage, and still true to it’s period, this vintage racer is equally appealing to the eye and the seat of the pants. Floors and pans are solid and glassed for additional rigidity. Gorgeous bright red paint with gold stripes, mesh headlights and grill complete the look and make this MG a real head turner. The car was just entered in our local autocross event for shakedown runs,...the first in over 20 years,... and performed like the champ she is. The tech inspectors were wowed at seeing a vintage car in this shape and the inspection took just a few minutes. Judges, please... No claim is made that this vehicle will instantly qualify in your sanctioning body's 2014 rule book. It cleared in Southern California in the 1980's and again in 2014. Certainly, current safety upgrades are suggested if this car is to be campaigned again.
