Up for Auction today!!! 1972 Mercedes Benz 220 Diesel with 4 speed Manual transmission. This car is one that is perfect as a daily driver, dependable, fully functioning and running fantastic this 1972 Diesel is a prime example of a solid and reliable unmolested original Benz. LOW MILEAGE for a 40 year old classic 81,277!!! I recently purchased this from a gentlemen who was obsessed with making sure that he could drive this vehicle as a dependable daily driver. I have provided many photos to help stress the ultimate shape that this vehicle is in. From the perfect non cracked seats both front and rear to the clean and non missing items in the dash to the almost 100% fully functioning switches and features this is the perfect classic Benz that you can enjoy driving daily without any worries. The gentlemen that sold me this car was so confident in its performance he gave me a full two week warranty. Stating if for some reason I did not feel the car was up to par, for any reason, he would give me a full refund!! But after seeing the painstaking detail that he went into about every feature on the car, I new that this wasn't just a project car but a obsession of his. This is a three day auction and I will be selling this car to the highest bidder with the agreement I will drive the car to the winning bidder up to 100 miles! Unfortunately do to my current situation I can not house this car for winter and I do not want it outside in the weather. I was stressed by the previous owner that if it would drive it during the winter months this car would certainly not be in the condition it is now and would begin the rusting process that so many of these Benz are in. He owned the car for 3 years and explained that it has never seen the snow fly. I was skeptical until I saw quarter panels, wheel wells, and floor boards (usually suspect rust spots) and there was none on this car...not even a bubble in the pain by the tail lamps...incredible is all i have to say...I want someone to be able to love this car....so here it is for you now!! *Also note that front seats are in terrific condition, covers are just on them just to protect the leather.
