This may be the nicest, unmolested, surviving Datsun 620 pickup in the country 1 long term owner until donated to charity in 2012 Bought new in Chico CA and never left Mind blowing original paint, garaged since new (see paint meter pictures in the link) Numbers matching period shell added in 7/78 (see pic of date engraved tag) from Parris Valley Campers Extremely nice interior bed due to shell and light use, bed and tailgate rails under shell are flawless with only 4 tiny mounting holes Laser straight exterior 100% original with exception of tires, seat covers and possibly the tach ( tach is Datsun original but I am not sure this year originally came with one, also included are an original dash clock & clock delete plate, which I suspect is what this truck came with originally since it is such a basic stripped down model, both would have been an option for the location of where the tach currently is) Original jack, tools, spare tire, owners manual and service manual all included Fantastic original interior with crack free dash, original radio, amazing headliner and not even wear marks on the original floor mat, no smells, odors, stains and everything works perfectly NO RUST, extremely dry CA example, inside, outside and under (underframe shows some light surface areas as it was all exposed steel originally and no attempt to cover up or paint over any surface has been made, it could be undercoated for better future protection but in the interest of originality I chose to leave it exposed) Truck runs fantastic without issue Truck shifts smooth and precisely and has a good clutch without any hint of slipping Truck stops confidently and without issue Everything works on the truck including the original radio Judging by the wheel weight marks on the rims, truck has only had 3 sets of tires (the originals, the ones I took off which still had full tread but cracking from age and the set on the truck now that I put on just prior to this auction), this would be consistent with miles I don't have any supporting documents or records to verify the 26K original miles, but given some of the 'low mileage' claims on the 620 examples auctioned previously over the summer here on ebay, I would say this one is much more likely than any to actually be correct. Visually it does look much closer to 26K miles than 126K miles. Either way, you can be confident that the level of preservation on this Datsun is unparalleled. Not even any wear on the door thresholds, jams or edges from getting in and out. You will be amazed with this truck. PPI: (pre-purchase inspection) Welcomed and encouraged.
