He disassembled the original engine some 25 years ago for a rebuild and never got it back together. He installed an unknown origin VW power plant into the car while he was rebuilding the matching number 356 engine. The car sat idle from around 1990 until 2013 when I purchased it. Kids, family and other commitments have hindered my restoration efforts from ever getting started. It's a very complete car worthy of a full restoration. It actually runs, drives, shifts and stops good, although it is NOT road worthy at this time. I've driven it only around the block a few times and to take these pictures. It does have relative new tires, brake lines, fuel lines, fuel tank unit. New 6 volt battery (no extra charge for bungee cord). Rebuilt wheel cylinders and brake calipers. The interior is complete and in good shape except for the carpet. The seat material is in good condition, not ripped or coming apart and all the seats work as they should. The door cards are good. The carpet is deteriorated. The headliner is sagging. All the interior trim is present. The dash is complete and in good condition. There is rust in the car! PLEASE look at the photo link below at the additional pictures. The major rust seems to be the rear suspension mount area. The front battery area is pretty much gone. The inner fenders have spots. The floor has spots here and there. The door bottoms are in ok condition. The hood and trunk lips are in good condition. There appears to be filler in the tops of the fenders thats cracking. All the exterior trim is present. The front bumper is bent and bolted loosely in pictures. All the glass is good except one quarter window cracking around pull-down. Link for additional pictures: Additional photos 1964 Porsche 356! Your bidding to buy what you see NOT the opportunity to come look and tell me whats wrong or missing. Therefore, come look BEFORE the auction ends, if you need to see everything in person. I've tried to get a lot of pictures but if you would like additional pictures of something let me know. --NO RESERVE--*Alabama has NO title for pre-1975 vehicles.
