You've ALWAYS wanted one...300+ horsepower wagon that gets 25+ MPG and goes thru the snow to get your family there safe and you to work....here it is!! NO RESERVE!! 3 days only auction for an absolute sale...HIGHEST BID WINS! I won't beat around the bush. I got the call on this car and being my FIRST 01-up "R" model...I jumped at the chance to offer it to you. I am WAYYYYY too busy to do the usual rehab on this car. Normally I sell my vehicles ready to go. This one is just way overdue for servicing. DO NOT get this confused with it needing a bunch of repairs. I've done my standard driving and inspecting of the car. Yes it needs a few things...which as you inspect the pictures, I will tell you what...but for now, the car can be driven anywhere as it is. Inspect my Excellent Feedbacks. I don't mess around. I will keep this one short and to the point. Take it for what it is (A $50,000+ car new that you will get to buy for a fraction!) or don't bid. It's pretty simple. Just know that this will be the CHEAPEST V70R on eBay now and for a long time! You can easily pick and choose which items you want to service but at least you can enjoy the car in it's current state. NO RESERVE!! Starting with the outside, beautiful metallic black!! You can clearly see the front lower nose is smoked. It's an "R" only piece so don't just go slapping on any V70 nose. One driving light is missing. Again...I am purely nitpicking the car so you will be 100% aware of what you are getting for your hard earned money. Try and find "other" sellers that disclose everything like I do. I love cars like these because I can't afford a new one...so THIS is a car I would personally own! The car has the HID motorized headlights. Passenger bulb needs replacement, the driver's side works. Motorization works properly (this is used for HIGH beam actuation). No damages to the grill or headlight lenses or wipers. Believe it or not, the body is rust free and remarkably straight! I can count on one hand the amount of dings on the car. Paint shines very well and there are typical light scratches and rockchips especially on the front. But not too bad. The car really needs a professional detail and buff wihich will surely cure most of the minor flaws on the exterior. Below the front matching/rear matching Goodyears have easily 80-90% treadlife left. Different models, Same sizing. This rim below is the worst of the bunch with some soccer mom rash. The rest looks good. No vibrations to be felt from the rims at any speeds. Unseen are the brakes...they work great but the pads are thin. These will need to be replaced soon. Rotors are fine with only minimal typical rear light pulse. There is also another better pic of the hood further down....there are about 3 VERY LIGHT dents that, if you remove the hoodliner, can probably be popped out. Roof looks great! Rear bumper cover looks awesome. Dull spot around the license area would be cleaned up via that detail. I installed a clean license plate for for you and it's currently on the car now. I believe there are 2 parking light bulbs out on the rear, the info panel says so inside. I think they are 2 lower spots on the upper lenses. Below is the ONE obvious dent on the whole car...a light crease at the passenger LOWER door. All the vinyl trim looks good with minimal fading. No cracks or damages. The interior is super nice....easy 7+ out of 10...only taking away for it's NEED to be detailed!! A few stains on the carpet and leather. Minimal driver's bolster wear on the seat. Leather looks nice, no holes, tears or cuts. Steering wheel looks great. Dash is awesome. Only eyesore is the typical center console fading which, if removed, can be repainted with dye easily. I hate smoke and altho I see a few tiny thin burn spots on the carpet, I don't smell any signs of a constant smoker. Doorpanels look great. LOVE this instrument cluster!! White LED lighting with blue background. Super modern even being a decade old! As you can see...there are NO dummy lights on and ALL light up during start. Proper temperature. Only the info panel states the position bulbs and headlight bulb out. No other warnings. No electrical issues. ALL power items work as they should: AM/FM/CD player (sound ONLY comes from the center speaker-not sure if the others are missing as there may have been a former "system" installed-haven't tested everything but with the 100s of Volvos I've sold, the CD player ALWAYS worked and played burned CDs), power windows, sunroof, locks (passenger door has a lazy lock motor), heated front power seats, dual climate control, ICE COLD AIR CONDITIONING, Hot heat (blower fan squeaks a bit), info panel, cruise, mirrors, traction control, suspension controls, etc. These aren't the proper "R" model floormats, but they fit properly and match the interior...I had 'em...now they are yours!! 3rd row seating option in an "R" model?? Yes, please! Unseen is the proper aluminum donut spare and jack setup...aired up ready for your drive home! Die Hard battery is recent and strong...ready for winter! Below you can see the FULL compliment of factory manuals are included along with the proper camel leather V70R case. Only ONE working keyfob/key is included. According to the sales receipt...the second owner paid nearly $20,000 for this car a few years back...with warranty. Cupholders are intact. I didn't even touch the engine compartment as it was already clean and well preserved. Here, after inspection, the car will need spark plugs (light misfire under FULL acceleration/boost-$2 a piece for NGK V-Powers-5 plugs-half hour time to replace), the timing belt is about 10k miles from NEEDING replacement ($33 on eBay), I can change a belt in less than an hour now. Oil is decent but should be changed for your records. Coolant is clean with no overheating. No signs of any major oil or coolant leaks. Dry under the car. Air filter is clean. Motor mounts feel tight with no typical AWD slop. Engine fires right up with no noises from the strong Die Hard battery. Turbo pulls strong and smooth. Trust me...all 300 horses are working so imagine AFTER plugs and timing belt! Transmission shifts as it should thru all gears at any temperature. There is a light typical drivetrain flutter, that I only had occur one time after about 50 miles of driving (I've logged about 100 to ensure it's reliability). It's throttle based....on the throttle is appears about 60mph...goes away when you let off. This is indicative of a CV shaft which is cheaper than the AWD shaft. CV shafts from Advanced Auto are about $79 and about a half hour to install. Easy. Otherwise just leave it. Barely noticable and very inconsistent. Right front upper strut mount needs replacement. $16 part on eBay from many diff sellers. Typical wear item. It just lightly squeaks...for now. Front suspension feels tight otherwise. No slop. No rattles or popping. Car drives straight down any pavement with no unusual pulling or wandering. Brakes feel good, as stated, needing pads. No tire noises or wheel vibrations. The car is just a few items away from being your perfect dream cruiser!! That's it!! Finish at your leisure. ICE COLD AIR CONDITIONING!
