Vehicle Detail
I am selling my 1972 Toyota Corona. I am the second owner of this car, after purchasing it a couple years ago from the estate of the original owner. I have done virtually nothing to it since I have gotten it, besides driving it around. I had originally intended on restoring it, but just haven't found the time to do so. It has been garaged ever since I bought it and likely was in a garage most of its life as it has minimal rust for the year. The car has just over 41k original miles. It starts up pretty easily, all you need to do is give it a little gas and let it warm up and you can drive it. That being said this isn't a daily driver. I believe the fuel pump needs a little work as it doesn't like to start if you park it pointing uphill. It also doesn't like to start when it is very cold. The mechanics of the car are pretty solid. It does leak oil, and I haven't tried to figure out exactly where it leaks from. The lights all work good and the interior fan also works just fine. It doesn't have many parts, you won't find a radio or air conditioning, it is a very basic car. The exterior of the car needs to be repainted. It looks alright at 25 feet, but the paint is extremely worn and flaking off in areas (it looks better in the pictures than it does in person). It also has a few dents, the most noticeable being near the front passenger side headlight. There is also some rust and a bent panel under the rear bumper near the exhaust. The chrome is overall in pretty good shape. It is missing the name badge on one side. The interior needs some work, but is overall in decent shape. The carpet is in good shape and so are the door panels and headliner. The front seats need to be reupholstered. The fabric is completely worn through on the driver side. The passenger seat is better, but it still could be reupholstered. Also the fabric on the top of the back seats is worn, but the rest is good. It does have the original plastic seat covers, the bottoms are currently just in the trunk. I also have a few pieces of the original paper work including the owners manual, owners service manual, original vehicle warranty information, and the vehicle identification card. Please feel free to ask questions about the car and I'll get back to you as soon as possible. It is located in Cedar Rapids, IA and I would be more than happy to arrange a time for perspective buyers to see the car.
