This beautifully restored Chevelle Super Sport has been in the family for 20 years. It has been lovingly restored to factory condition with only the green exterior color different from original. The car has a 396 Turbo-Jet crate engine and transmission that are not original to the car, and they were installed before our ownership. Despite the engine and chassis numbers not matching, this is a complete Chevelle Super Sport with plenty of American muscle. With the four speed transmission you can really feel the power to the rear wheels. The transmission is a Sagana with a 323, 12 bolt posi rear axle ratio. The car has always been garaged and lovingly cared for with a cover over it, and has never seen any road salt or rain water. We have taken it to car shows for many years inside an enclosed trailer. Inside the interior has been carefully restored to its original beauty, the sea foam green bucket seats are perfect for a late sixties muscle car. This Chevelle was the first in the line to have optional seat belts which are original to this car. The wood piece on the dash is a restoration mistake, and was taken from a Malibu model. The front grill emblem is also a Malibu restoration mistake. Regardless of these flaws, this is a true SS model as shown by the body ID tags.
