Vehicle Detail

You are bidding on my vintage Plymouth PA 2-Door sedan from 1931.This car is in very good condition, and I would consider this car a "driver",as opposed to a "show" car.I have had this car for 2 years, and it has never let me down.Cruises down the road at 50-55 MPH,and is a great car for those local car shows,or a cruise with the family for some ice cream. The only reason I'm selling it,is I'm a "motorcycle" guy,and this car is too nice not to be used & driven more regularly. The car was restored probably 15-20 years ago by the owner of "Wheeling Island",and kept this car in his collection until he passed away.I obtained the car from a local collectible car dealer in the area, and all work was done prior to him obtaining it.I do not have any receipts from the rebuild, but do have receipts for the following I had performed on the car: I replaced the battery with a new unit from NAP,and had the starter rebuilt this past spring. Also replaced the distributor cap, rotor, points, condensor, plugs, plug wires, coil, and ignition switch,as the originals on the car were suspect as to how long ago they were replaced. I also had a pair of "Stop" taillights & brackets installed at the rear end for safety concerns, along with a universal turn signal switch mounted on the steering column. The front "parking light" bulbs in the headlamp shells were replaced with amber bulbs, and also function as front turn signals.I have the original single taillight & bracket that came with the car,in case someone wants to switch it back to original. No other holes were drilled. Also mounted a pair of door frame rear mirrors for both sides, and I have a copy of the original owner's manual which I will include,as well as a clear PA title in my name. The car fires right up with a little choke, and then settles into a nice idle. The 3-speed manual transmission shifts fine, and is easy to operate. There is no power steering or brakes, but the car has it's original hydraulic brakes which were ahead of their time, and work great. Also has the original "Free Wheeling" feature that allows clutchless shifting if desired-I never liked it,so I really don't use it. All tires are 16" white wall Lesters, and have plenty of life left in them. Also has a hydraulic steering damper mounted up front to smooth out the steering. The body is solid, with no visible repairs, save for a small area on the passenger side fender at the top, that appears to have been repaired at some point.I always meant to get it done, but it really never bothered me that much. All panels are straight, along with correct seams & gaps.I would say the paint job rates about a 7 out of 10,as there are some nicks, scratches here & there, and definaltely not a show finish.Looks great from about 10 feet away, hence the reson I call it a "driver".Still very presentable though. The frame & underneath are very solid, with no rust or corrosion issues. The upholstery was redone in a grey "velvet like" material, and is very presentable with no rips or tears or stains. The carpeting was also replaced, and is in great shape too.All gauges are in working order, but the windshield wiper is not working-Never messed with it,as I never drove it in the rain. All window cranks work fine, and the front windshield opens up at the bottom. Overall,a really nice solid example of an original Plymouth PA,ready for many more enjoyable miles,or,heaven forbid,a nice basis for a hot rod. These 2 door sedans are really cool with the 2 door look, but enough room in back for the kids or dogs. Please ask questions,as all sales are final.Winning bidder to make a Paypal down payment within 48 hours. The car can sit for a few weeks if need be,but full payment is due within 7 days.No exceptions.Make sure your girlfriend, wife, mistress, dogs are cool with your purchsase before hitting the "Buy It Now" button.I will be out of town between September 27th and October 4th,and unavailable for pickup, but full payment is due within the 7 days, unless you make arrangements with me first.
