Vehicle Detail
1947 Ratrod Studebaker 225 Slant 6 904 torqueflite trans S10 frame Chopped and Channeled 5" I bought this truck a few years back with a fresh rebuild on the motor and trans. It had a false blower mounted on it for show and was under powered. The truck went down the road great. I only put about 100 miles on it and deemed it in need of more "Rod" I tore the motor down and started to build it. 268 Clifford cam and lifters, dual offenhauser intake with dual carbs, professonally decked head .080, heavy springs, oversized valves and hardened valve seats.(as recommend by clifford performance) New distributor and MSD blaster coil, offenhauser valve cover, clifford dual headers, timing set, Harmonic balancer, fuel pump and oil pump. I wanted to elimanate the kickdown linkage to the carbs so i ordered and installed performace manual valve body. Refilled trans with amsoil performance fluid. I reassembled motor and everything is done besides the carbs need to be hooked up. It has been sitting in my garage doing nothing for to long. I have a stupid amount rapped up in this truck, an easy 13-14k. The false blower has been removed due to it being to heavy and not working with new set up. The motor build should be a beast for a Slant 6. I also have a new in box 2500 Stall converter if needed. It really is a cool Ratrod.
