I posted150 good photos of this vehicle to show details. Up for sale is a very nice and clean 1977 Mercedes 450SL with only 43100 miles. The vehicle just came out of storage, after being there for the past 5 years. Of course this was not the first time it’s been parked for a long time, without being driven. This is a 2 owner California car. The second owner took ownership of the vehicle in 1980, with only 5000 miles on the clock. The car spent its life in San Francisco area. The owner did not drive the vehicle much and had it parked mostly, until the owners son inherited the SL, due to the owner’s sudden death. The vehicle was stored after that for another 5 years. The owner, who is a friend and a neighbor, asked me to help sell the car. It was a very tough decision to let the vehicle go but due to no use he finally decided to do so. The owner of the vehicle is a University professor and an actor/director. Before we offered the SL for sale, the SL was serviced and all necessary work was completed. The vehicle drives and handles fine. Oil change, rebuilt brake calipers, ice cold A/C, alignment and tire balance, rotation, detail, new original floor mats and major transmission service. I personally took the vehicle on a highway and drove the car at 75 miles per hour with the A/C on when the outside temperature was 97. The vehicle has very nice paint and has very straight body. It looks very well and its complimented every time I’m at a stop light. The vehicle had a new top when stored the last time, but due to it being in its convertible compartment without being used, it now has a hole. It will need replacement. It also has an alarm system.
