Vehicle Detail
You are bidding on a 1975 R75/6 in good condition. I am selling because I no longer ride. This bike has amazed me with how it starts and runs. It was a conversation piece wherever I rode it, esp to cruise nights, etc. It has a few things that would need addressing to put it in top shape, but I rode it enough to trust it to go anywhere. Not mentioned above is that the tach does not work. I had the bearings in the fork replaced by a local shop and on the way home I noticed it was not working. Dont know what is wrong but it spun the needle off of the pin. Also, the steering damper needs replacing if you so desire. I have ridden without it, as I like cruising country backroads. At high speeds you may want it installed. The windscreen is excellent, although not original, obviously. This model did not come with a kick starter. I bought the bags from a fellow who owned an R90. They have never been mounted. They are pretty tight because I have pressure washed them with only a drop or two of water getting in. I am at least the 3rd owner, but beyond that I do not know the history. The seat appears original and has a crack on the right side front. This could be taped effectively. It may be 40 years old but it is still a looker and with minimal TLC would be outstanding. Since the last listing I have spent over $400.00 and 30+hrs to get the bike in running shape. I tried to give a good rep of the bike in the pics so study them and ask questions. Any rust you see is superficial and has no structural effect. Took it for a short ride for the first time in about 4 years after putting everything back together and Holy Cow! I forgot how much fun this thing is! I have a reserve that is very reasonable, certainly less than I see some similar bikes selling for. I have about $4400.00 invested. I have title in hand. I will accept only paypal for payment of the deposit of $500.00 due within 24hrs of bid closing and the balance within 72 hrs. I can store the bike for up to a month if needed. I will assist loading for transport but will not be involved with any shipping arrangements at all. This is a re-list as the last winning bidder was a cyber-crook. Honest bidders and questions welcome.
