In storage for over 30 years! 1968 AMC Javelin SST ’68 Javelin SST in Tahiti Turquoise Metallic! 343 four barrel, auto transmission, factory A/C, power steering, power disc brakes, posi-traction This one owner garage find (there aren’t many barns in southeast Michigan!) has been sitting since approx 1980. Dash and steering wheel have no cracks, floor pans and frame rails are solid and all stainless trim is in excellent condition. Door panels and center console are in excellent condition (no cuts); even the AM radio works great! There is about 70% of the original, striking, Tahiti Turquoise remaining and it is brilliant against the white vinyl top and black rally stripes. The 343 starts and runs and the transmission will engage. There is some rust perforation on the decklid and in the lower quarters; however the inner quarters appear to be solid. Right door and fender have some surface rust but are otherwise solid. Hood is in good condition and the inner fenders are very solid. Car is not drivable due to being in storage for over 30 years! Known concerns include needing brakes, tires and suspension work (trunnions appear worn). It will need to be towed or trailered from the Detroit area (48180) – I can assist with towing up to 100 miles for a nominal fee.Car is for sale locally and we reserve the right to end the auction if sold locally.
