This 1978 Corvette 25th Anniversary model helped GM celebrate in a big way. With gorgeous original two toned paint and oyster leather interior, it is the perfect balance of well preserved originality and affordability. Of the 46,776 Corvettes produced in 1978, only a very few had this rare power train combination of the L-82 350 V8 high performance engine teamed with the factory close ratio four-speed fully synchronized manual transmission. The original two toned Anniversary paint scheme is one of the few products of the 70's that still works well today. Sophisticated yet aggressive it perfectly suits this sleek Corvette. Original paint has a nice shine that's a result of factory enamel and not modern urethanes. The silver paint downplays the Stingray's dramatic look but the designers chose it for the Anniversary Models on purpose. It's sophisticated and not loud and emphasizes the Corvette"s best features which are those dramatic "coke bottle" fenders. This Corvette is exceptionally clean inside and out. Excellent original paint with an extra clean interior and glove soft leather. It's obvious upon inspection that this Corvette bass been very well cared for. Odometer read less than 31,000 original documented miles. Drives excellent as you would expect from a car with these few miles. There are not many all original Anniversary Corvettes that look this good and drive perfectly no matter how low the miles. The T-Tops give you the open air experience and you can take them with you thanks to a neat storage system in the rear hatch area. The original umbers matching L-82 high out put engine remains under the hood in essentially untouched factory correct condition. This is a beautifully presented Anniversary Corvette with no issues and an interior really stands out. This Corvette has been inspected and appraised by 2 separate well respected Corvette Restoration and Appraisal firms. Copies of these inspection / appraisals can be supplied upon request.
