KC Nevets is an independent licensed Auto Dealer in Corvallis Oregon. We recently received in our inventory this beautiful 2007 Porsche Cayman, with 78k miles. As part of our used car diagnostics program, we took the car into our local foreign repair shop “ Horton’s German Auto Repair” ( 541-758-4154) to have it checked over and serviced. We were told that overall the vehicle is in great shape. However, a sound was detected in the rear drive train during a test drive. After further inspection, it was determined that the noise was related to issues with the transmission/ transfer case. It was recommend that this be replaced. The vehicle does“ Run & Drive” and we have driven it around town and to and from the repair shop. We made some inquiries on parts and labor at our location on the West coast and we found many transmission/transfercases for as low as $1200.00, but all are located on the East coast.
