I am selling my 1987 Ford Mustang GT. The car has always been garaged and stored during the winter months. However the sun got to the paint and I had the car repainted. The motor is an all stock 5.0 with 72,000 miles, and the only tasteful modifications are the upgraded factory 1993 16in. Pony Wheels. This car still has the factory air silencer. This car is ready to just get in and drive. I'm only selling because I just bought a 1993 cobra. I am a retired Ford technician and this is my weekend/no rain car. There are some part still under warranty if you live next to a local O'reilly auto parts, such as door lock actuators, fuel filter, valve cover gaskets, battery cables and more; all receipts will go with car. I replaced the battery cables with new ones, nothing was wrong with old ones, I'm just picky. It has had a cap and rotor replaced 5,000 miles ago and fuel filter was replaced at that time as well. I have a video of the car running and I also have pictures of the valve cover off and pictures of the head so you can see the car has been well maintained. This is a factory sunroof car. The clutch has about 25k miles on it which was also replaced with new. The factory cork valve cover gaskets started to seep oil around the rear of the valve cover so I replaced them with an upgraded wire/rubber gaskets that are also under warranty. Oil change was just done with an always used synthetic 10-40 weight. A/C has been converted to 134 already. Injectors were cleaned while fuel filter was replaced. New headliner. New drive belt. Everything has been done and the car is ready to drive cross country if needed. The vehicle has always been properly maintained, adult driven and never abused. I posted pictures of the car with all the trim, headlights, and windows out to clarify the paint has been done right with no tape lines. The overall condition of this Mustang is excellent, and has appropriately been honored with 2 trophies of the 6 car shows it was put in. The paint has no polish or wax on it, I just washed and took photos. Pictures really don't do this car justice. It's more beautiful in person by far. If your close by, I fully encourage you to come see. You can't go wrong with one of these cars, over the years I have watched them climb in value and become nearly impossible to find, Don't let this one slip by! Other thoughts to consider are that this car is eligible for classic car insurance which only cost me $170.00 a year. Car and driver has rated this car as one of the most economic and cost efficient sports cars to own based on its low operating costs, dependability and parts costs. This Mustang runs beautifully and performs as it did when It was purchased new. All pictures were taken within the last month so there will be no surprises to the buyer. This mustang is in an exceptional original condition and is a one of a kind jewel of a Mustang 5.0 which are becoming more rare and harder and harder to find. With it's immaculate interior and remarkable overall condition, this quality of car is not to be found easily as I'm sure your search will prove.
