This is the one you've been looking for!!! We bought it three years ago as our "fun car" and nowadays we don't have much time for fun! :) This 1977 Volkswagen convertible is sharp and gets attention everywhere I drive it. The previous owner replaced the top, had the motor rebuilt, and replaced the fuel injection system with a carburetor (this is preferred by many for this year of VW Beetle). The front seats were replaced by the previous owners. We added a new stereo system last year. This is not a show car, but definitely not a piece of junk. Just a nice middle-of-the-road vehicle. What you see is what you get. It's a four-speed manual transmission. Because it doesn't get driven that often anymore, we've noticed that it's a little finicky sometimes. Basically, it idles down and dies sometimes when coming to a stop. Always starts right back up. I think it's likely just in need of a carburetor tune-up. Otherwise, it runs good and strong. There is some rust on the body typical of a vehicle that is nearly 40 years old. Also, the paint is cloudy and flat in the area under the gas cap. Please call me with any questions.
