Vehicle Detail
Rare Chrysler Newport Custom 2 door Coupe with only 5,500 produced and most went to the crusher back in 70's. There were around 120,000 Newport's made and only 5,500 were the 2 DR Customs like this Big Land-Shark. I Got my information off the original Plymouth Chrysler Imperial Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price Label or Window Sticker to get my detailed info of this Chrysler:Newport Custom 2DR. Hardtop, 383 2 BBL Engine that looks to be all original. TORQUEFLITE Transmission that shifts smoothly and no problems. I did find an old Transmission business card in the glovebox. I'm not sure what maintenance it might of had, but drives and shift almost like a new car. It come with a lot of options including Air Conditioning that was recently recharged and converted to R34 from what the mechanic told me. It doesn't seem to work, but original equipment is still there. I recently bought the Garage Find and had Castrol 10w30 oil change, New Air Filter, Fan Belts tightened, new fuel filter and fuel line replaced. It has newer dual exhaust installed in past 1-2 years. It has a newer Battery, Plugs,Cap & Wires. Hard Top looks like it was replaced recently. The interier looks super, with exception of some dash plastics. I looks like someone tried to repaint with stock color and there is cracking in paint, but dash looks good with no cracks. The other plastics for the most part are shiny. The seats and headliner look like new. I looked under the car and there is no rust, Car looks to be garaged and trim is all there. In the trunk i couldnt find any rust, but looks as if someone started a restoration. The paint does not shine and looks to have a second coat applied in recent years, but overall looks original. The wheels are repainted in red along with the spare in trunk. The original hubcaps are in place. Call for more questions @ 828-423-1071 I got my value from Hagerty's Value Estimator. The Sales range from $4,100-$11,000. Over the past 5 years Classic cars have beat the Index 500 Stock Market at over 200% gains.
