This vehicle has gone from beloved icon to something of a depressing lawn ornament. It's time to let someone make better use of it. I am the 3rd owner having purchased it in Rhinelander Wi about 30 years ago. The man and wife I bought it from were both in their 90s . They purchased it with just over 400 miles on it. Please note that the old add-ons were by the couple. The foot steps, fog lights and front tire mount etc. were all the construct of the couple who camped relentlessly. Most can be undone easily. The back had eye hooks drilled through the floor to hold a wheel chair and the icebox and the 2 seats were retrieved from above their garage as they had been removed for room. It had been owned by a boyscout camp before that and was sold through the Rhinelander dealer. The window tag and other related paperwork is included. There is a clear Illinois title but the bus is currently in Grant County Wisconsin. First and foremost:Use the pictures/ask questions/come take a look at it if you like. The bus is being sold as-is, where-is for parts or to fix. The engine and drivetrain are complete(99%+) but the engine won't turn by hand. I'm not sure if it will roll. It ran when it was decommissioned. Gas heater that worked when you didn't need it to. The under side has gotten really rusty especially along the (what used to be ) rockers. If it's to be restored I imagine it's going to take some real know-how. The seal on the pop top is bad. There are rips in the screens and some small holes in the canvas. I think the interior is quite complete one missing interior light. /floor has been changed/ but there are plenty of really bad areas in the wood mostly on the 2 doors and behind the table. Buyer to remit $500.00 dep. within 48 hrs of auction end. It is being sold with no reserve......It is going to a new home. Buyer will be in charge of moving it but access to both front and back is easy. I'm happy to answer all questions except "Can you put me in touch with the winning bidder?"
