When I bought the car from the original owner, it had been sitting for years. The alternator was bad, and the valve covers were leaking. I replaced the alternator and EVERY gasket from the head up. Its fresh and clean now. No leaks, no hiccups, no running issues whatsoever. However, Military, or college students, who are residents of another state and only in California for work or school, can maintain their home state plates. However, in some instances their home state MAY require them to comply with local emissions and send the emission certificate in with renewal paperwork. This is the reason that the vehicle history report shows Arizona registration, and California emission tests. 17 August - **EDIT** - Ebay Auto Check lists "3 owners" - Original Owner (1) released car to restoration shop who stashed it in a warehouse after applying for title (2) - and I purchased from shop (3). Essentially a 1 owner car. Also, for those outside of California, disregard any emissions reports if you don't have to deal with the communists that run this beautiful state.
