Vehicle Detail
Normal 0 false false false EN-US JA X-NONE Original, 1989 Ford Bronco with 32k miles. This truck is in amazing condition. I purchased the Bronco just a short time ago. It belonged to an older woman, who bought it brand new at Broadway Ford in Idaho Falls. It was used occasionally and every few years made the trip to Oklahoma to the High School National Finals Rodeo. She passed away a few years ago and the Bronco was left in the garage. Her Grandson brought it out of the garage with 29k miles and put new tires on it and a new battery about two years ago. I purchased it from the Grandson (I guess I'm the third owner) and have decided to let it go. It won’t fit my whole family. Again, the condition is amazing. The exterior (around the driver door) is probably the worst part. It has scratches that are localized to that area. I tried to take a picture. The hood has three spots that have slight peeling. Again, I tried to include a picture. Other than this, the paint is very nice condition with very few parts with even normal wear for a vehicle this old. I would compare this to a vehicle that is 5-7 years old on its exterior, not 25 years old. Headlights are crystal clear. There is no rust anywhere on this vehicle. One thing is, I don’t want someone to get this and be disappointed, so hopefully It sounds worse that it is. I think the new owner of this thing will be proud to drive it anywhere. Feel free to ask any questions. The interior is near perfect. I would say that the interior is closer to a vehicle that is 2-3 years old, if that. The headliner is tight, dash is perfect, all plastic is excellent, the seats have no wear and are super comfortable. The carpet is in great condition as is all the weather striping, knobs, etc. All dash lights work and all accessories work. This XLT has power window, power locks, tachometer and AM/FM cassette player. The rear power window works from the switch and the exterior lock. Mechanically the truck runs excellent. It rolls down the freeway very nicely with the FI 302 and the AOD transmission. There are no leaks, no smoke, and no strange noises. It performs I would suspect much like it did the day it left the dealership. I believe it has a 3:55 gear but have not confirmed that yet. At 75 mph it runs about 2300 rpm. I checked MPG one time after a small road trip and got 19mpg, only driving about 70mph maximum. The truck rides, brakes and handles amazingly well. I have been astounded by the attention this thing gets. Everywhere I drive it people can tell it is has been very well kept since day 1. The color combo is awesome, the interior is beautiful, and the driving experience is much like it would have been in 89. The only problem that I have noticed is the AMP gauge shows like it is not charging, (8-10), but the battery never goes dead the alternator tests fine…the problem is in the gauge. I just had the truck lubed and the AC serviced and converted to R134A. You would be hard pressed to find an 89 with lower miles and in nicer condition. Please feel free to email me with questions. I am also happy to provide my number via email if you want to talk about it. There is no warranty and the shipping is the buyer’s responsibility. However, I will help assist in any way I can with shipping logistics. I want to sell this inside of the lower 48 US States.
