Vehicle Detail
1953 Pontiac tin woody station wagon with a mild custom for sale. Excellent body and modern running gear. Project is now ready for interior work. If no interest with this project will then complete the interior and will relist this fall. BODY: The body was sand blasted, primed then painted. No body work was performed and very little rust found. The paint work is driver quality and no effort expended for show quality finish. I prefer to drive and use my cars. MECHANICAL: A chevy 350 engine 4bbl and chevy 350 automatic installed. Engine runs good with no smoke or issues. Steering is good. Brakes redone and strong. Fuel tank is good as well as a spare tank from a donar car. The oil and temperature guages are not installed, the original is mechanical and not electric. The vacuum wipers not yet installed. The heater is not installed. WIRING: New wiring harness installed. The fuel guage is not yet hooked up to the tank or the fuel guage, the wiring is there ready to go on both ends. Extra backup lights installed to illuminate bright for the tow hitch. Backup lights are activated with a vintage dash switch. All lighting is working correctly (dash, turn signals, exterior lights, brakes). GLASS: No cracks in glass. Windshield and two side glass replaced new. Rollup windows channels, felt and guides all replaced new. Two side vent windows are somewhat fogged. UNFINISHED WORK: All weather strip rubber around the doors and rear hatch need to be purchased and installed. Heater and wiper motor with transmission cables need to be installed. Seats are in good shape both springs and padding, they need to be recovered. Headliner needs to be purchased and installed. I have a the stainless for the interior as well as the original panels. The dash radio and heater controls are not installed. My donar car provides me with duplicate interior parts. The metal vintage sun visor is painted and ready to install.
