Vehicle Detail

SELLING MY 2003 Ford F-150 Sonic Blue Lightning #113 with 84,XXX miles. The 2nd Generation Lightnings (99-04) are Legend and the real hardcore Ford fans know this. They came from the factory with a Triton 5.4 V8 with a Eaton Supercharger making 380HP/450TQ, lowered with sport Bilstein suspension and great looks. Was the Fastest production truck ever made until the Dodge viper barely. . .barely beat it (though the Viper SRT8 truck has more power. . .means nothing when you weigh like a tank. Seen lots of street and track outings where the Lightning have left them behind). A lot will see this truck and think. . .Regular F150 with some ground effects or such. It's definitely not that. These SVT trucks are limited produced and this one is number 113 of 723 sonic blue made and 1 of a total of 4270 total Lightnings made in 2003. So these trucks are RARE. If you take in say...8-10% of 03 Sonic Blue Ligthnings that have been wrecked, totaled and such...Definitely not alot of them out there. Sonic blue was only made in 03-04. Think of it this way...how many regular cars are produced each year?? Usually 15000 to 20000 or more. 20,000 F150's compared to 4,270 F150 Lightnings made in one year....big difference. When you do see these trucks, they are beaten, junked out looking and just not taken care of like they should. The only good side to that. . .makes the beautiful, taken care of trucks like mine go up in value. I've taken this truck to the track on 3 outings. Mostly I do 2 runs. . .maybe a 3rd. I'm not like some that take it 10 times down the ¼ or 1/8. After 2, unless I did something wrong, I might do a 3rd. After that, that's what she ran. When I bought her she only had a LFP style ram air kit (just the adapter and filter). This was in 2010. When I bought it, I added a 6lb lower, K&N RAI, O/R Bassani mid pipe and Flow 40 catback, then a dyno tune. With those mods and tune. . .made 391/494. 14* timing on 93 octane and 11.5 AF ratio. About a year later while in NC, I ported the Eaton Supercharger, ported the plenum and throttle body and rechecked the AF ratio which was still at a 11.8 but now made 413/525 to the wheels. With that and first track outing, she ran a 12.7 @106mph with a 2.0 60'. Stock tires and stock suspension. Later I did the M122 swap and ported it slightly and she made 451/545 to the wheels with a new tune. AF ratio was still a mid 11.5 and timing at 14*. Just last year, I swapped to a 2013 GT500 TVS supercharger with stock upper pulley, 2lb lower pulley, ported the accufab single blade throttle body. While being tuned at Fastlane, when finally got it dialed in after 5 back to back runs....The good. . .she made 505rwhp but heat soaked. The bad, pushing the stock block limits. So we backed off the timing to 11*, still a mid 11.5 AF ratio, let her cool down and she made 489rwhp (before the TVS was slightly ported/smoothed, ported single blade TB and ported mid plate...this could have easily added 10-15rwhp since the stock ported TB was probably choking it) The lead for rwtq wasn't working but if I had to guess, probably around 550-565rwtq. So, we de-tuned it to make it safer. Once it gets a built block, ported heads, cams, 6lb lower and retune. . .you will easily have a 650rwhp monster. . .if you want. For the interior, I did convert it to the 2 seater style and have a custom Expy console with suede. Has a pioneer CD/DVD player. A lot of parts swapped for black, 2 guage pillar with wideband AF ratio and oil pressure and steering pillar with boost. Mods. Engine. . . -13' GT500 TVS with mild port/smoothing on inlet -Adapter plate kit for TVS--it's inlet ported but mostly smoothed -Throttle body inlet adapter ported -SC mid plate ported -Lower intake rear vac line plugged(known vac leak on lightnings) -Lower intake semi polished smooth for the intake runners -Accufab throttle body ported -SCT 2600 MAF -Custom JLT RAI -Bosch 60lb injectors -Walbro dual 255 fuel pumps -LFP stainless Y fuel connector and upgraded fuel pump line -EGR delete kit -Upgraded ¾ intercooler lines -LFP bigmouth SC reservoir -JLP coolant reservoir -LFP pulley AUX with 90mm pulley -Reische 180 thermostat -TR6 spark plugs gapped .32 changed in Nov 2013 (have extra set too) -new COP boots installed Nov 2013 -New but not installed, the whole COP's, all 8. AS a back up. -Fluidyne Heat Exchanger with spal fan -New bosch intercooler pump -New fuel filter -97 Fuel rails with adj fuel press regulator Suspension -New Bilstein front shocks -New Moog upper control arms with balljoints -New lower moog ball joints -New rear adjustable stange shocks -Rear slapper bars Transmission -Punisher street VB (but made a less aggressive) -Filter and fluid changed in late 2013 -Ford Racing bigger capacity trans pan -Ford F250 bigger trans oil cooler (not installed) Exhaust -Stock headers -Bassani mid pipe with high flow cats -Flow catback -tail pipe tip Exterior -Black out front headlights -Black out rear taillights -Rear bed cover (original in ok condition) -Spoiler -Billet upper grill -Billet lower grill -Nitto NT555 front put on spring of 2014 -Nitto NT05 rear put on spring of 2014 Brakes -Stock front a rear calipers -Front drilled/slotted rotors -Front ceramic pads Interior -Dual pod with wideband AF ratio and oil pressure -New wideband 02 sensor just installed, have spare as back up since it's good. -Single steering pod with Boost -Dual race seats -Custom expy console mod -Single disc CD/DVD double din player -Black carpet -Black headliner -Black HD sunvisors -Black roof console -Painted Sonic blue parts Fluids -I use Mobile 1 synthetic and motorcraft oil filters -Royal purple HPS ($20 a bottle) in the supercharger -Royal purple oil in the rear differential -Royal purple power steering fluid -DOT4 synthetic brake fluid -Coolant changed in 2013 -Supercharger coolant changed twice a year. One for summer running and one for winter running. -Dielectric grease in all connections I can grab (helps keep moisture or water out since they don't play well together) Probably forgetting a few things but i'll add them when i remember. If she doens't make what I want for her, you could still be in luck. I will go lower but it won't have a 13' TVS, the adapter kit and ported SBTB. I will swap to a stock eaton setup with a ported stock throttle body. I could sell the TVS, ported elbow, ported midplate, ported SBTB for $3000 easy. I rarely drive this truck at all and looking to go to a GT500 down the road, after I move again. The truck runs flawless with zero hiccups. AF ratio, with JJ tune, is around a 11.0 at half throttle (about 10psi) and around a 11.0-11.2 at WOT. 11* timing, so super safe tune. She eats zero oil, trans shifts like it should and no weird noises from her. I baby this truck and hate to let her go but i know someone will enjoy her more than i do. If i do take her out around the block, i don't hot rod her, don't spin the tires and I can tell you that she will do 110mph, but that was on a track and i don't try to go 130-140 on the streets or hwy. I'm pretty darn sure she would though. She'll have the normal chips on the front, though minimal and hard to see, for being 11 years old. The driver side, top side middle of bed has a weird swirl type mark. probably 1" in diameter. Was there when i bought her. If you fly in, I wouldn't worry about driving this truck back cross country at all. I can pick you up at the airport if close. If it's a good drive, pay half for gas. If any questions, please ask. Thank you.On Aug-14-14 at 03:05:51 PDT, seller added the following information: Adj fuel pressure reg is Aeromotive. Also has a fuel pressure gauge on fuel rail. I do have a loan on this truck. On Aug-15-14 at 05:36:10 PDT, seller added the following information: Oh and with the TVS it ran a 12.6. @ 110mph with a crappy 2.1 60'. And low 90 degree heat day. Second run I got to aggressive and spun the tires. Left after that knowing my current tune was safe but not great due to the 60'. Reason I switched to a JJ tune but never went back to the track since the JJ tune. If you want to swap back the the stock seat and bench, easy to do. Just unbolt all and swap. Thank you. On Aug-15-14 at 15:24:25 PDT, seller added the following information: Also you will get a binder of receipts. But if I bought parts from others, there won't be a receipt. Also TVS had 100 miles on it when I bought it. And the rear speakers are Infinity 6832 speakers. Sounds way better than the stockers did. On Aug-16-14 at 09:03:08 PDT, seller added the following information: Also, if you would like pics that I took today, 8/16/2014, please write and i can give you my cell phone and text or email to you. And i do have the stock engine plastic cover that goes towards the front of the engine. I removed it due to a better cooling effect while driving. And hopefully not to discourage anyone but the $14K offers, as the truck sits, it's a no. I've had a few locals here that's offered that cash and I still said no. I will say though, my reserve is lower than the buy it now. Sorry. This is not a "must sell now" or "bought a house" or "having a baby" and need to sell truck. I sold my mint 48Kmile 03 Cobra several months ago, now selling the Lightning to collect funds for a new GT500. If i needed money bad, i would sell the other car or the 2 SUV's that I have before the lightning. I get tons of looks and tons of questions/comments of..., nice a$$ truck!, is that a 2014 Lightning?, did i repaint it, cause it looks new? beautiful color, is that custom? and so on for questions from people when I do decided to take the truck out into town. So get ready for the same questions/comments lol. Thank you.
