Please read full description!!! Thank you for taking the time to view my 1978 Suzuki GS400 twin 6 speed, locally this bike has been dubbed mad max by some for it's loud brash styling, parts from other bikes and difference from many other bikes in our area. At the heart is a solid running parallel twin power plant that has no leaks no running issues just a great patina to it. It has a fresh oil change new NGK plugs and the carburetors cleaned. The front forks have new seals and new 12.5 weight oil, the seat is a d.c.c 24" flat brat seat, the rear tank mount has been cut raised and rewelded to lift the rear of the tank about an inch to make it more level with the frame rails, the throttle housing/tube/cables as well as left and right controls perches/levers and front master cylinder come from a 2006 GSX-R 600, all the gixxer controls have been wired and work as should engine start kill high beam signals hazards etc... with exception of horn there is no horn on bike but can easily be added. The headlight is from a Vetter windjammer fairing and the bucket itself has a unique shape non typical making it something different to look at. The front signals are from a Buell and the lens have been tinted the rear signals are amber led diodes frenched into the frame rails and the stop lamp is led as well. The bars are superbike bars with coke bottle style grips and with the modern controls and the vintage cluster recessed and angled a little flatter the setup looks amazing very clean and from a riders p.o.v very aesthetically pleasing. New Mac 2into1 exhaust, tires are Bridgestone spitfires the rear is used but the front is brand new. The rims are the stockers but have been painted black. It has new gold chain and front sprocket -1 tooth, rear shocks are a little longer and more heavy duty as they are from a gs550. New all balls front wheel bearings. I am sure not everything is listed but this is the mass of it please view pics The bike overall has a nice natural patina on many parts as well as new parts and some fresh paint here and there (fork legs, drum, wheels etc...) to break it all up and even it out. The tank and side covers are my first attempt at a distress paint job I really wanted to pay tribute to the bikes age and durability while keeping the theme from the natural finishes but these could be easily sanded primed and painted if you so desired. The inside of the tank is very clean, newer battery and bike is turn key with a clear Ohio title and a little over 11k miles This is ready to ride just needs a operator! Possibly willing to deliver short distance from 43468 say 50 miles or so, otherwise buyer must make shipping\pickup arrangements willing to help load if you send a independent carrier I am not a dealer bike is sold as is.
