Vehicle Detail
For Sale - 1984 Jeep J10 4x4 Pick Up. The truck runs, drives, stops. It has a swapped in fuel injected 5.9 (360) engine from a 1998 Dodge Durango RT, and has the four speed automatic overdrive trans and NP231 transfer case from a 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I did not do the install, it was done by the previous owner. The swap was done very clean, has the ECM on the passenger fenderwell, OBDII port is under the dash. The truck has headers, and a new custom exhaust Magnaflow muffler etc. The gauge cluster, steering column, fuel tank and pump are from a 1999 Dodge pick up. The truck has new 6" lift springs in the front, lift blocks in the rear. The tires are BFG M/T 285/70/17 and the wheels are 17x8" black steel. It has power brakes, front disc brakes, lock out hubs, power steering, and the 5.9 air compressor on the motor, and the durango under dash A/C system loose in the bed of the truck, the previous owner planned to retrofit the newer system into the truck. So that's the good, the rest of the truck could use some work and refinishing. I have a signed, clear, notarized Arizona title. The mileage for the truck on the title does not match the mileage on the gauge cluster that was swapped into the truck. It will be a couple weeks before I would have time to start on the refinish work on the truck as planned so I thought I'd list it once on ebay and see if it sold, if so, that would be fine, as I have lots of other projects to work on. If it doesn't sell then I'll just put it in the schedule, break it down and address all the following items, then have a really unique pick up. What I would do on the truck: D.A. sand an repaint the truck, Im not a fan of the olive drab green. Id probably look for a better hood to swap on. It could use some work in the steering, it has a loose tie rod end, previous owner gave me a good one, the box has a little play, previous owner gave me another one, the tires are a little rock and offroad worn so I would replace those. The transmission mount is bad, p.o. gave me a good one. It has a 90gph fuel pump and tank from a 99 dodge truck, located in a tool box in the bed of the truck, I would swap that out for an offroad style fuel cell under the truck bed. I would get the seat re-covered and do some clean up in the interior. After that it would look, feel, and drive like a new truck, so there is lots of potential, and a great unique modern drive train to start. I just had to move it and drove it 100 miles, most of which was 65mph on the freeway, I wouldn't recommend it however, until after some better tires were installed, and the steering stuff was corrected. So I'm listing the truck for what I have into it, please feel free to ask questions I will do my best to answer. I know a local vehicle transporter who makes regular runs from AZ to MI, IN, OH, MN, IL etc but he has delivered to Texas and TN for us in the past, usually pretty reasonable. Otherwise the truck is available for pick up in Buckeye, AZ 85326 Thank You!
