Vehicle Detail
1970 Triumph GT6+ (Mk II)48,000 on Odometer- I can't verify accuracy NO RESERVE. NEW YORK STATE TRANSFERABLE TITLE IN HAND. This is a parts car or a heavy restoration due to rusted floor pans, rockers and some rust in bonnet.Rolling chassis. Study photos carefully and eail me if you have specific ?. The nice thing is that it has a strong, smooth running engine. Running from a portable gas tank. See YOUTUBE video... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KY0BAyG19Js Carbs have been removed, inspected, gaskets replaced & floats adjusted. Missing stock air filters. Idles nicely @ 900 RPMFuel pump removed, disassembled, carb cleaner soaked & re-installed.Dizzy removed, disassembled & cleaned/oiled. New points, condenserAlternator removed and tested for charging.Engine detailed.Clutch MC/slave & brake master cylinders need to be restored.Starter solenoid is not working so starter needs to be jump started. Glass is nice all around, slight wiper arc on passenger side.Top of windscreen is solid. Bonnet has rust through on passenger wheel arch & driver's lower arch and bottom front corners of bonnet bottom. Overall very straight bonnet.Rear hatch is nice and clean with no rust through along bottom edge. Missing rear tail lenses.Wooden dash has all gauges and switches, wood is decent but could use restoration.Dash top is very nice.Exhaust pipe has a few small holes but you could run it as is for a while. Front bumpers/guards are nice & straight. Rear bumpers has 1 very small dent in driver's side- easy to pound out. All bumpers need re-chroming.Interior needs carpets, seats/glides/frames, seat belts (has original but rusty) & misc. itemsI was going to build a Spitfire 6 but I was unable to secure a decent tub to swop out.Frame appears to be good except for 2 front outriggers (see pics).Radiator is good as is the fuel tank. Headliner is decent but white is yellowed. I bought white paint for vinyl for my car and it turned out very nice. Buyer arranges for shipping etc.I'm sure I'm leaving something out. Email me if you have questions or would like additional photo details etc.
