Actor owned, documented movie car in "Black Mass, starring Johnny Depp as Whitey Bulger. This car was bought from the original owner who had always kept it garaged. Always getting compliments whenever I drive the car. Interior is in excellent condition, several minor dings and blemishes to the exterior. This is a very solid car with no rot. New brakes, and master cylinder, new alternator have been installed, with the original parts kept if someone wanted to have those rebuilt. The AC needs servicing. I will i nclude new parts I was expecting to replace - water pump,..... I had the car inspected at a Cadillac dealer when purchased and they were all over it, impressed with the condition all over. "It's pretty much been in every scene in the movie so far."It's just a great gangster car," he added.Black Mass, based on the book by former Boston Globe reporters Dick Lehr and Gerry O'Neill, is scheduled to be released in 2015. The movie will focus on the relationship between Boston gangster Bulger and the FBI's John Connolly, which led to murders, drug dealing and ultimately to Bulger making the FBI's Top 10 Most Wanted List.About three months ago, in anticipation of the movie, Green said he searched Craigslist for a vintage car. He found the 1972 Cadillac with 49,000 miles in Newport, R.I., . The last time the car was on the road was 1988. Only 3,875 of the cars were made."I know what the producers and directors are looking for, so it wasn't a risk. It's been in about every scene."Because of his union contract, he couldn't talk about the specifics of the movie or who the Cadillac belongs to in the movie. However, he did say the Cadillac was in the middle of a fight in front of a bar. Gangsters were on the hood and trunk, but he wasn't worried about any dents, Green joked."I'm a down-to-earth guy, and if anybody wants to check out the car, chase me down at the Copper Kettle on Saturdays," said Green, who's taken the Cadillac to six car shows. He also won a Telly Award for best disco dancer for a Hollywood movie in American Hustle.In addition, Green bought vintage cars for American Hustle and Labor Day, among many other films. He's also been seen in The Fighter, Ted, and other movies."Acting isn't just to help me make a living. It's also great because you can make somebody's day out there," Green said. "You think about how many smiles you can be putting on their faces. That's what makes the movie business."People need to understand it's not about us. We do it for the people," he added.
