My dad bought this truck around 1989 with 18,000 miles on it from a Mr. Paul White. According to Paul, the original owner died about a year after he bought the truck new. The truck then sat in his wife's garage for about 10 years and then another 10 years in their son's garage. Mr. White bought the truck at that time and added an overdrive transmission that is operated by a toggle switch, and repainted the exterior. After my dads passing my mother sold the truck to a family friend Gerry. Shortly after that, the main bearings went out and Gerry put new bearings and rings in a low milage 1964 motor. At Gerry's recent passing, that motor had not installed. I have since installed the 1964 motor and it runs/drives well. The truck has minor rust in the lower front fenders and the bottom side of the tailgate. While it looks nice, it could use a repaint. The milage shown is correct for the truck, but not for the 1964 motor. Please contact me for more information.
