I have here a 1964 Mercury Parklane 4 door fastback hardtop. This was Mercury's second most rare model because it was the factory bucket seat model. Production figures show only 847 were made. This car has power steering, power brakes, and air conditioner. The 390 runs even after sitting for 12 years in storage. Brakes could be questionable as it hasn't been driven for a while. It could be driven but again, it may not get you from here to there. Body has rust in rear quarters. Passenger rear quarter is quite damaged but I do have a replacement quarter panel and will be included in this auction. Interior needs to be restored. Driver seat is positioned as far back as it will go and I think it needs to be positioned further back. For a big guy like me there is hardly any belly room. Headliner needs to be replaced. Glass is good with the exception of the windshield. A nice car to restore. This is an update to the description as I have had a couple of interested buyers wanting to know if the frame is rusty. Being located in Denver Colorado, this city has a dry climate. Its not like the other cities that live near a big river or near one of the great lakes where the salt humidity just eats through the body at will. But for those that are interested, the frame shows some discoloration but i don't see any areas of pure rust. I've added a few pictures of the underside and on the driver's side. I can't get pictures of the passengers side as that side is up against the curb of the sidewalk. I hope this encourage you interested buyers. Thanks.
