Vehicle Detail

Thank you for looking! You are bidding on a 1998 Subaru Impreza Outback Sport. Vehicle is fair condition - drivable but needs work. Following problems noted:It needs a new radiatorThe fuel filler neck sensor was bypassed. It will need to be replaced. Otherwise, the check engine light will come on. There is a little body rust in the rear wheel well area The brakes need to be adjusted. The car was parked in the driveway for the last three months, and yesterday we noticed that the parking brake does not fully release. The rear wiper does not work. The engine and transmission are in good condition, and all other vehicle functions are OK. This vehicle is being sold as a parts source or as a fix-up project car. Vehicle also comes with a spare rim. On Jul-18-14 at 04:52:55 PDT, seller added the following information: Rec'd a question by email that should be shared. Dear bradsdads, Can you drive the car at all? And why does it need a fuel neck? - 718.mikey8282 Dear 718.mikey8282,Hi Mike-I drove the car yesterday, over to my mechanic (if you are in South Jersey the mechanic is Jafstram), but he was too busy to look at it. That is why I decided to post it on ebay. I have three cars, so I really don't need this one. The brakes will probably need attention before it is driven too far, though. Regarding the fuel neck, there is a plastic cover that surrounds the fuel neck, and it fills with dirt and road salt. I saw it posted on the subaru forums, and so we checked. When we took the cover off, it was full of dirt. Thankfully it was not wet, nor gas ladened, just dry dirt, so we were lucky. We could see that the fuel neck is not rotten through, but it is rusted, just at the point where the fuel fill sensor is. Thanks for the question. - bradsdadsOn Jul-20-14 at 08:08:47 PDT, seller added the following information: I was asked to add a few more photos, especially of the interior. The driver seat has a tear- I forgot that I had a screwdriver in my back pocket as I set off to the Home Depot. Ugh!I also wanted to add exterior photos, since the originals did not show enough detail- There is damage to the rear passenger side door from a snow plow. The damage is a scrape and does not affect the operation of the door. There is a dent on the left rear that was caused by a bicyclist who rear ended me. There is a dent on the left fender, another bicyclist who was riding on the sidewalk in South Philly and lost control. He lost his ice cream as well, which he left for me to clean up. Ha!
