Vehicle Detail
This is the top-of-the-line model with top-of-the-line XL trim including factory bucket seats. Power brakes, power steering, power top. Car has been babied its whole life I believe, and certainly during the last 12 years or so that my wife and I have owned it. It is in exceptionally nice shape. All body panels fit as they should, doors, trunk and hood all open and shut like a new car. No body wrinkles. No rust issues. Very good paint. Excellent tires. Original interior is superb with straight, crack-free dash pad, door and quarter interior panels and both buckets and rear seats are excellent. There is some pitting on the console. The 352 runs perfectly and the automatic transmission works as it should. There is an exhaust manifold leak on the driver's side manifold...annoying but easily fixable. The original bumpers show minor pitting but you have to look really close to see it. When I took it on a 3,000 mile vacation a couple years ago I added cruise control. (small controls tastefully almost hidden under the dash near the driver) I had no issues at all on the vacation. It drives straight and true, brakes are in top condition, and you can confidently drive this car home. Top is showing some age-related discoloration, but a vinyl dye job will bring the color back. The top mechanism works as it should and the top has a glass rear window. The top boot fits snug. This is a great car and worth every dime of my buy-it-now price. Please call me or email if you have any questions. Mike 719 660 5504. mike@rmdrc.com I looked for many years for a 1965 Ford convertible, and they usually had lots of body wrinkles and trashed interiors. This one has the straightest body I've ever seen, and the interior is almost like new with supple vinyl and plastic. it is a real gem. I have been an antique car collector (definitely NOT a dealer) for 47 years now, and I'm fairly confident that my presentation of this car is accurate, and probably rather conservative. Of course, as always, there are no warranties either expressed or implied. Colorado Springs has lots of reasonably-priced airfares if you want to drive it home, and I am happy to work with international buyers. Serious bidders only, please.
