Vehicle Detail

Offered is a beautiful freshly restored 1929 Model A Ford Roadster. It was built as a ‘50’s style street machine. It is powered by a completely rebuilt 1934 Model C engine with a counterbalanced crankshaft. It was bored .60 over, has inserted rods & mains, a Winfield cam and topped off by a fully rebuilt Two Port Riley over head valve head. Ignition is provided through a dual point Mallory distributor. The engine is backed up by a lightened flywheel and a ’39 Ford synchromesh transmission, bolted up to a fully rebuilt Model A rear end with 3:78 gears. It stops on a dime with ’48 Ford hydraulic brakes and steers easily with a ’48 Ford steering gear. It rolls on brand new white wall tires. The entire drive train and car has less than 1,000 miles on it since being rebuilt and assembled. It has a race stance using a “Superman” dropped front axle and coil-over shocks. The Windshield and top have been chopped 2”. The top irons are polished stainless steel with new stained and finished oak bows. In the trunk is a 16 gallon fuel cell. You will ride in cool comfort with ice cold air conditioning when it is hot. When it is cold outside, just snap on the side curtains with oversized windows and turn on the hot water heater to stay warm. For additional driving safety it has quartz lights and turn indicators backed up by a 12 volt system charged by an alternator. All new brown vinyl interior is set off by black acrylic enamel paint that has been professionally applied, color sanded and buffed to a mirror like finish. A vintage racing look is enhanced by the chromed dropped headlight bar in the front. It has a steel ’32 Ford dash insert with oil and temperature gauges. The fenders, splash aprons and running boards are steel. The body is a high quality fiberglass that is straight as an arrow. The doors and trunk lid fit properly and open and close easily and solid. The only damage since it was completed was caused by a neighbor on a tricycle and scratched the right front fender (see photo). This car runs and drives cool, smooth and fast. It is being sold due to a death in the family. The fit and finish is excellent as is the driving comfort. If you have any questions, please do not email me. I am listing this for a friend.
