Vehicle Detail

1980 Jeep CJ5 - Full frame off restoration finished in 2011. Only 11K miles on NEW 304V8 engine. The pictures tell the story but here are some details:New 304 crate motor with medium cam installed and Edlebrock carb - Sounds GREAT!NO body or frame RUST! Fully restored!New fendersNew fiberglass tubOriginal metal hoodStainless EVERYTHING. If it shines on this Jeep, it's STAINLESS! Including all the bolts!New Flowmaster exhaust with stainless CATS (high flow)4 speed T5 transmission Dana 300 transfer caseRear differential auto-locker (works perfect!)New heavy duty axle and universal jointsNew gaugesNew paint (torch red)Rhino lined inside, underside, engine compartment, wheel wells (pretty much everywhere you don't see red paint!)New 33" Nito Terra Grapler tires with matching spareNew rimsPro Comp front shock stabilizer (drives like a dream!)New full soft top (been on the Jeep 3 times) with doorsTwo bimini tops included (one mesh, one 'leather')New front seats (no rear seat ever installed) *Note seats have been embroidered with FD logo to commemorate the 343 firefighters that gave their lives on 9/11 (see pics)Swing-away spare tireNew windshield and frameCustom side steps (removable)Solid frameFull storage cover included (that's what it lives under now in the garage!)Nearly all lights changed to L.E.D.8,000lb winch on front bumper (includes wired remote)Custom front bumper (powder coated)Customized front tow bar included in deal (for towing the vehicle)Class III hitch installed (new)Pro Comp suspension w 3" lift kit (because 6" is just ridiculous for a CJ!)Tilt steering wheel (a must on a CJ5) - I'm 6'1" and 200lbs - Jeep fits like a glove!New Warn locking hubsUpgraded heater blower All new gauges and grab bar (stainless passenger grab bar has been wrapped with paracord - THIN RED LINE)Tuffy locking center console with AM/FM/CD/USB insideAdded shoulder/lap seatbelts for added safety (welded to roll bar)New brakes - I would consider doing the power brake upgrade if you're going to tow anything besides a small trailerStainless 18" exhaust tips (dual, of course) *NOTE: As you may have figured by now, I'm a retired firefighter. This vehicle is equipped with emergency vehicle lights (red and white) and NO siren. They are located on the front and rear bumper, top of windshield and rear-facing on top of roll bar. They are operated by wireless remote. I have chosen NOT to remove these lights (they can be removed fairly easily). I can legally sell the vehicle with these lights installed. YOU would be responsible for adhering to your state laws regarding operation. Pretty sure they are illegal to operate on most roadways unless you are a first-responder. By the way...they make this thing look BAD ASS when lit up. I only used them once before I retired... Minor issues:Paint where hood meets fender is worn from rubbing - can't see at all when hood is closedI could have done a better job on making the motor look 'pretty' - but it runs and operated FLAWLESSLY.I've used this thing. It's not just a 'pavement princess'. It's a bad ass 4WD Jeep! I've had it off road a few times but never in the mud. Heck - it's never been rained on!Grant steering wheel has some of the 'chrome plating' peeling off on rodsVery minor nicks in paint from getting in and out of Jeep - easily touched up (I may do it myself) *This is a WANT to sell item...not a NEED to sell. My reserve is low and fair. Don't email me asking what the reserve is and don't send me a low ball offer or I will respond by laughing at you. Please do NOT email me offering to trade me anything. I have too many toys as it is... thanks! This Jeep was done right and with pride. I hope its next owner truly appreciates it. Email me with any questions I might have failed to answer above. Thanks for looking..God Bless On Jul-15-14 at 12:25:36 PDT, seller added the following information: UPDATE: I've had multiple requests (rightfully so) for pic of the engine. I did not have them available at time of posting. I can't seem to add them to the posting now. I'm maxed out. Please email me if you would like a picture of the engine. It's not all 'prettied up' but it looks fine and runs like a sewing machine..Also - the VIN number is: J0m83ab040965Pine me with any additional questions. Thanks! - Tim
