HAVING DONE SOME BASIC RESEARCH IT APPEARS THESE TRUCKS HAVE A LOYAL FOLLOWING WITH AN ENTHUSIAST BASE. THIS IS A LOCAL SOUTH FLORIDA TRUCK FROM NEW WITH NO ACCIDENTS REPORTED. THIS TRUCK FEATURES A 7.3 POWERSTROKE TURBO DIESEL ENGINE MATED TO A FIVE SPEED MANUAL TRANSMISSION. IT IS ALSO FOUR WHEEL DRIVE.THE ENGINE STARTS EASILY WHEN COLD AND HOLD'S GOOD OIL PRESSURE, IT ALSO RUNS AT THE CORRECT TEMPERTURE AND HAS NO OVERHEATING ISSUES. THE AIR CONDITIONING BLOWS ICE COLD. THE FOUR WHEEL DRIVE SYSTEM WORKS CORRECTLY WHEN ENGAGED BOTH IN LOW AND HIGH RANGE. WHEN IN FOUR WHEEL LOW AND IN FIRST (GRANNY GEAR) IT FEEL'S LIKE YOU COULD DRIVE UP THE SIDE OF A BUILDING. THE CLUTCH, PRESSURE PLATE AND FLYWHEEL ALSO LOOK LIKE THEY HAVE BEEN RECENTLY REPLACED. NOW SOME OF THE CONCERNS WHEN TEST DRIVING THE VEHICLE IT SEEMED UNDERPOWERED LIKE THE FEELING OF A COUPLE OF CYLINDERS NOT FIRING ON A CONVENTIONAL ENGINE. YOU HEAR THE TURBO SPOOLING UP BUT IT HAS A RESTRICTIVE FEELING LIKE A FUEL RESTRICTION. AFTER DRIVING A COUPLE OF MILES IT GETS WORSE AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WILL FLASH ON THEN GO OFF. IF YOU THEN SWITCH THE ENGINE OFF IT WILL START AGAIN AND RUN AND REPEAT THE SAME CYCLE. ANYWAY THERE IS A RUNNING ISSUE THAT NEED'S TO BE FIXED BEFORE THE VEHICLE CAN BE DRIVEN ANY DISTANCE. I HAVE ASKED SEVERAL DIESEL MECHANICS AND THEY SAID IT COULD BE A NUMBER OF THINGS. THEY SAID IT SOUNDS LIKE A FUEL FLOW- INJECTOR PROBLEM? ANYWAY I AM SELLING THE VEHICLE AS IS AND WILL LEAVE THE DIGIANOSTICS TO THE MANY EXPERTS. ON THE ROAD THE TRUCK SHIFTS THRU THE GEARS OK AND THE SUSPENSION IS RATTLE FREE WITH A GOOD RIDE CONSIDERING THE LIFT. HOWEVER THE ALIGNMENT IS BAD AND THE VEHICLE PULL'S TO THE RIGHT SEVERELY. THE INTERIOR SHOW'S SOME WEAR AND TEAR (SEE PICS) BUT HAS A NICE SOUND SYSTEM WITH AN AFTERMARKET C.D. PLAYER. THE VEHICLE IS VERY SOLID WITH A RUST FREE UNDERCARRIAGE AND BED. THERE IS SOME BODY DAMAGE ON THE LOWER LEFT SIDE OF THE BED. (AGAIN SEE PICS) OVER ALL A VERY SOLID FOUNDATION OF A DESIRABLE TRUCK THAT NEEDS SOME TLC. THIS PARTICULAR TRUCK IS A LOCAL TRADE IN THAT WE JUST AQUIRED. TO BE PERFECTLY HONEST I AM VERY UNFAMILIAR WITH DIESEL TRUCKS IN GENERAL SO PLEASE EXCUSE SOME OF MY TERMINOLOGY IF IT'S NOT 100% CORRECT. HAVING DONE SOME BASIC RESEARCH IT APPEARS THESE TRUCKS HAVE A LOYAL FOLLOWING WITH AN ENTHUSIAST BASE. THIS IS A LOCAL SOUTH FLORIDA TRUCK FROM NEW WITH NO ACCIDENTS REPORTED. THIS TRUCK FEATURES A 7.3 POWERSTROKE TURBO DIESEL ENGINE MATED TO A FIVE SPEED MANUAL TRANSMISSION. IT IS ALSO FOUR WHEEL DRIVE.THE ENGINE STARTS EASILY WHEN COLD AND HOLD'S GOOD OIL PRESSURE, IT ALSO RUNS AT THE CORRECT TEMPERTURE AND HAS NO OVERHEATING ISSUES. THE AIR CONDITIONING BLOWS ICE COLD. THE FOUR WHEEL DRIVE SYSTEM WORKS CORRECTLY WHEN ENGAGED BOTH IN LOW AND HIGH RANGE. WHEN IN FOUR WHEEL LOW AND IN FIRST (GRANNY GEAR) IT FEEL'S LIKE YOU COULD DRIVE UP THE SIDE OF A BUILDING. THE CLUTCH, PRESSURE PLATE AND FLYWHEEL ALSO LOOK LIKE THEY HAVE BEEN RECENTLY REPLACED.
NOW SOME OF THE CONCERNS
WHEN TEST DRIVING THE VEHICLE IT SEEMED UNDERPOWERED LIKE THE FEELING OF A COUPLE OF CYLINDERS NOT FIRING ON A CONVENTIONAL ENGINE. YOU HEAR THE TURBO SPOOLING UP BUT IT HAS A RESTRICTIVE FEELING LIKE A FUEL RESTRICTION. AFTER DRIVING A COUPLE OF MILES IT GETS WORSE AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WILL FLASH ON THEN GO OFF. IF YOU THEN SWITCH THE ENGINE OFF IT WILL START AGAIN AND RUN AND REPEAT THE SAME CYCLE. ANYWAY THERE IS A RUNNING ISSUE THAT NEED'S TO BE FIXED BEFORE THE VEHICLE CAN BE DRIVEN ANY DISTANCE. I HAVE ASKED SEVERAL DIESEL MECHANICS AND THEY SAID IT COULD BE A NUMBER OF THINGS. THEY SAID IT SOUNDS LIKE A FUEL FLOW- INJECTOR PROBLEM? ANYWAY I AM SELLING THE VEHICLE AS IS AND WILL LEAVE THE DIGIANOSTICS TO THE MANY EXPERTS. ON THE ROAD THE TRUCK SHIFTS THRU THE GEARS OK AND THE SUSPENSION IS RATTLE FREE WITH A GOOD RIDE CONSIDERING THE LIFT. HOWEVER THE ALIGNMENT IS BAD AND THE VEHICLE PULL'S TO THE RIGHT SEVERELY.
THE INTERIOR SHOW'S SOME WEAR AND TEAR (SEE PICS) BUT HAS A NICE SOUND SYSTEM WITH AN AFTERMARKET C.D. PLAYER. THE VEHICLE IS VERY SOLID WITH A RUST FREE UNDERCARRIAGE AND BED. THERE IS SOME BODY DAMAGE ON THE LOWER LEFT SIDE OF THE BED. (AGAIN SEE PICS) OVER ALL A VERY SOLID FOUNDATION OF A DESIRABLE TRUCK THAT NEEDS SOME TLC.
