Up for auction is my 2001 Honda Rubicon. I purchased this atv used sometime around 2007 or 2008 from Storm Lake Honda. I intended on using it for ice fishing and western hunting trips. Things change, I rarely go icefishing and I never took it out west. I have put 50 miles on it since purchase so it is time to sell it. The previous owner of the atv had damaged the odometer and it was not functioning when Storm Lake Honda acquired it on trade. They repaired the odometer but it reset to zero, therefore total miles are unknown. The salesman pointed out that the machine still had twhat he believed to be the original oem tires at the time of my purchase so mileage shouldn't be terrible. I have included one spare tire in the auction, it uses one of tires that I took off the machine. The atv is overall in good shape, it has the normal fading and scratches on the racks and plastics. I believe the former owners replaced the front plastic that frames the pipe fender/pushbar, it looks nicer than the rest of the machine. There is a small crack in the plastic behind this, I have taken a picture of it. I put new 6 ply Kenda Bounty Hunter radials on it, they are like new. I installed heated grips and thumb throttle, that is a nice feature for icefishing. I installed a neoprene seat cover which is also nice for icefishing. The cover also hides a hole in the factory vinyl cover. You may continue with this cover or you may buy a new seat on ebay. I also replaced the fuel gauge. The atv is a 4x4 and it is equipped with the "Hondamatic" transmission which two fully automatic shifting modes and a third mode that allows for manual handlebar shifting. I put in fresh gas and a new battery and it starts and runs fine. I recommend anyone interested to contact me via ebay with additional questions. Those interested may come to Ames Iowa to view it.
