1998 Corolla LE. Has power windows, locks, cruise control, and sunroof. Runs great and auto trans shifts smooth. Someone attempted to steal the car and ruined the plastics that go around the steering column and destroyed the ignition cylinder. As it is now the car will not start but can be moved. AC blows cold. 197K on the odometer. Engine was swapped with a used engine at approx. 140K. Used engine had roughly 30K at time of swap. Interior is in decent shape, no rips or holes in the seats, but it does need a good cleaning. Headliner had started to sag so the covering fabric was removed. Probably could stand to be reupholstered or replaced. The radio works but doesnt play CD's and is missing a preset button. The drivers door does not open from the inside. Probably an easy fix, heard this is a common thing. The left rear door handle is broken but the door operates fine. It needs two tires for sure, although could probably stand to have all 4 replaced. The paint is rough on the car, with it being faded and peeling clear coat on the hood, roof sills, and decklid. There are some missing trim pieces in the trunk, around where you access the taillight bulbs. Spare, jack, and tools in good condition. Overall I would say this will be a good running, reliable little car once the ignition cylinder issue is fixed. Average price to have a shop do it seems to be about $250. If you can do it yourself, it should only cost you time and parts which are inexpensive. Its gets average 34 MPG no matter how you drive it. It just looks rough.
