Purchased a new Cummins diesel Dodge, selling my beloved 1st Gen Cummins Dodge. It is a 1990 Dodge W250 4x4. This is a factory Banks Powerpack truck which was a factory upgrade which includes a three gauge pod containing Boost, Vacuum, and EGT, has upgraded turbo, exhaust and trim emblems. Everything is original and stock except the Banks muffler was too quiet so the truck currently has a straight pipe (not a stack) installed in place in the original exhaust, I have the original Banks muffler. The truck has a 4" lift comprised of Sky Jacker softride springs front and rear, it is 4x4, has Dana 60 front and rear axles with 4:10 gears and Warn lock out hubs, transmission is a Chrysler Torque Flight 727 automatic, NP205 transfer case. With the 35" tires and 4:10 gears the truck cruises on freeway very well, runs at about 2000 rpm at 65mph. The tires are LT315/75/16 Remington Mud Brutes, they have approx 85% tread, and are installed on 16x10 polished aluminum Mickey Thompson wheels. The wheels have just been freshly polished and have great shine. The truck was just repainted because the factory clear coat was peeling which is common to these trucks. It was painted Cummins Red and Ivory White two tone, using base coat / clear coat and looks great, silky smooth. There are a few dents in the body which were left as is, only noticeable when close to the truck, there has never been any rust on the truck, ever, anywhere. It is 100% rust free been in dry Arizona all its life. Even under the truck almost zero surface rust, this is a super super clean truck. Interior is in decent shape, it has aftermarket cloth bucket seats with center console, these were installed by a previous owner somewhere along the line but are firm, and do not have any tears or stains, very supportive and comfortable. The truck spent most of its life on at a local hay farm, so there are some aged stains on the cloth on the door panels, and the headliner, and a piece of the passenger side door arm rest is missing. Also missing the rubber brake pedal pad, the interior dome light, the gear selector end knob, and the front exterior side marker lights. The carpet is new. The truck has factory A/C, all parts and the system are intact, but it does not work. We looked the system over and it looks like the dash controls switch is bad, we have not looked for a replacement, its the unit that controls the Heat / AC, the blower switch and motor works fine. The truck has power windows and locks, the windows go up and down faster than any vehicle we have ever owned, almost shockingly fast and the power door locks work fine. There is a rear slider window, and the front windshield was just replaced due to a rock chip. Mechanically the truck is amazing, the 5.9 turbo diesel Cummins starts almost instantaneously with the turn of the key. The odometer currently shows 141, 892 which is when the speedometer cable went out, it happened about a year ago while I was driving the truck, since then I've put maybe 800 to 900 miles on it. Since Ive owned the truck I had the front axle wheel bearings rebuilt, a new steering link, steering gear box and an alignment, front and rear brakes, water pump as well as a new Optima red top battery installed, all of that work was done approximately 2,000 miles ago. There is no leaks anywhere on the truck, the engine does not, and has not ever leaked any oil, kind of amazing compared to some trucks I have seen. This is a really unique truck, if you have been looking for 1st Gen Dodge - This Is The One! But you better like getting attention, I can't drive this anywhere without getting asked to sell it, people leave notes with their name and number wanting to buy it, and I've been offered a few straight up trades for newer super dutys, duramaxes, and dodges over the years, I would like to keep it, but if I did it would just sit and get dusty, so Ive decided its time to let someone else appreciate it.
